Meanwhile, Karachi Kings looking to regain the winning streak back. Match 19 between Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators is schedule to start at 8 PM Local | 9:30 PM IST tonight.

After secured a hat-trick of wins at start of the tournament, Karachi Kings faced their first defeat in their last game. The star player Shahid Afridi’s injury forced him out of the XI for some period. Without Afridi, Kings bowling attack looked very normal and lost the game by 8 wickets to Islamabad United. Afridi’s availability remain uncertain for tonight match. Kings has some issues in their batting department as they used to post a total lesser than 160 runs in almost every match. The inconsistency of Kings top-order batsmen were the major reason for it. Babar Azam who struggled for form in first three matches, finally scored his first half-century of the season in the last game. That’s the good sign for him and also for the team. The opener Joe Denly not at his best in the first half of the season as he scored 14, 29, 28 and 4 runs respectively. Lendl Simmons is waiting for his turn, so Denly should score runs or else will lose his place to Simmons. Some possible chances for Simmons to get a game tonight. The other opener Khurram Manzoor had scored a half-century in the last game but his strike-rate was not on his favor all through the tournament. Still he will keep the place in the XI as Kings don’t have much of back-up openers.

South African Colin Ingram is playing a big role at crucial no. 4 position. He yet to score a half-century or more but contributed well with quick runs every time he batted. All Rounder Ravi Bopara is the key player in Kings middle-order. He didn’t shine in the last game but did a great job in first three matches. He is expect to play a big role with his all-round show in this game. Mohammad Rizwan handles wicket-keeper job along with batting at no. 7. As he coming down in the order, not getting much of chances to score lot of runs. But still he contributed with a quick cameo of 21 runs off 9 balls in the last match. Skipper Imad Wasim leads the team very well with good captaincy and also with his individual contributions. He claimed only 3 wickets in 4 matches but used to bowl well economical spells in each innings. The speedster Mohammad Amir returned the XI after missed out one game with an injury. He replaces Afridi in the last game. He had bowled an expensive spell against United but could be back to fine form tonight. Usman Khan who claimed a three wicket-haul in his first match of the season, conceded 30 runs in 3 overs against Islamabad United. He is one of the quality bowler in the squad, will come back with wickets in this crucial clash. Some possible chances for Tymal Mills to make a way for David Wiese, tonight.

Quetta Gladiators re-energized with an impressive win against Multan Sultans last night. That win was came after back-to-back defeats in recent matches. Sarfraz Ahmed and men held their nerves and sealed a thriller by 2 wickets. Still, Gladiators has some batting woes as none of their batsman showing consistency. All-rounder Shane Watson was the only one who batted well at top of the order, also struggled in last two matches. Watson will be the key factor of Gladiators in tonight’s clash and his all-round ability will play a big role. Asad Shafiq returned to the XI after dropped for one game. He didn’t bat to his full potential yet but offers some decent start along with Watson. A sequence of poor batting made Umar Amin out of the XI last night. His replacement Rameez Raja Jr. did a good job with the quick cameo of 22 off 14 balls at crucial time. In fact, he pulled back Gladiators into the game with his aggressive shots. He deserves a chance and he will get it. The most experienced Kevin Pietersen made a come back to the XI with 5 runs against Sultans. He had scored 48 runs against United a week ago, since that he managed to score 5 runs each in his next two innings.

The limited overs specialist Rilee Rossouw also struggling with an inconsistent form throughout the season. Last night, he managed to score a crucial 27 runs but thrown his wicket away at wrong time. Captain of the side Sarfraz Ahmed yet to contribute big for the team. He scored 30 runs against Sultans in their first meet up but took 33 balls to score that. Lots of international players struggle to score at big strike-rate in this year PSL and Pakistan captain is also one among the list. Quetta’s bowling attack looked weak but a collective show of their bowlers in the last game will make them to go with same attack once again. Ben Laughlin has replaced his countryman John Hastings last night and picked 1 for 37 in 4 overs. Laughlin who had a great BBL season recently, will get a second chance in tonight’s game. Pakistan U19 captain Hasan Khan is playing a very useful role in Gladiators camp. He smashed a winning six last night at very tense moment. Mohammad Nawaz is the most economical bowler of Gladiators this season, hope for one more top performance from him. Duo of Anwar Ali and Rahat Ali working out well for the team. Last night, both of them had bowled a decent spells and claimed a wicket each.
