Sri Lanka heading to this game after that frustrating defeat against Bangladesh while India beat Bangladesh in their last match. Which team will take an advantage by winning this match? Match 4 between Sri Lanka vs India is schedule to start at 7 PM Local | 7 PM IST Tonight.

Sri Lankan batsmen proved how strong they are once again in the match against Bangladesh. Batsmen at top three, Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka and Kusal Perera had played a valuable and powerful knocks for their team. Kusal Perera in particular, has scored back-to-back half-centuries in the tournament and his strike-rate hurts opponents. Kusal Mendis who marked as a test player, batted so well in T20 cricket recent times and he smashed 57 off 30 balls other day. Gunathilaka also offering a good start at top of the order, hopes for him to go for big runs tonight. Skipper Dinesh Chandimal has been banned for 2 matches, so he won’t take any part in round two matches. On his absence, all-rounder Thisara Perera will lead the team against India, tonight. The most experienced Upul Tharanga has played a very useful cameo of 32 off 15 balls with 4 fours and a six against Bangladesh. The limited overs specialist is expected to play much deeper role later tonight.

Batting all-rounder Dananjaya de Silva could be the first choice replacement for skipper Chandimal. Dananjaya is an aggressive player and his attitude will add more quick runs to total. All-rounder Dasun Shanaka was promoted to no. 4 in the last game but he departed without scoring a run. We could not judge his quality with that one innings, so he probably come with much better performances tonight. All-rounder Thisara Perera had two poor outings with a ball in the series, also he was dismissed for duck against Bangladesh. He is in a position of regain his all-round form quickly and should led from the front as an acting captain. Spinners Jeevan Mendis and Akila Dananjaya have gone expensive in their respective spells and both of them remained wicket-less in the last game. With an all-round abilities Mendis might keep his place in the XI but Akila must perform well to cement his place. Either one among Nuwan Pradeep and Dushmantha Chameera will make a way for the experienced Suranga Lakmal in this game. Based on experience Nuwan Pradeep may keep his place which means Chameera has plenty of chances to make a way.

Captain Rohit Sharma and men started the tournament with a loss against Sri Lanka but regrouped well and won the next game against Bangladesh. Now, they have a chance to take an advantage by winning tonight’s game against Sri Lanka. Surely, it is not going to be easy task as both teams searching for a win and takes some momentum in the series. After dismissed for zero, skipper Rohit managed to score only 17 runs in the last match. His horrible run continues, as a captain and senior player Rohit Sharma is under tremendous pressure at the moment and he has to rectify it by playing a big knock today. His opening partner Shikhar Dhawan continuing his red hot form and he already smashed two half-centuries in two innings, including a mighty 90 runs against Sri Lanka. He is the backbone of India’s batting unit right now. The back-up opener KL Rahul sat out for both previous matches but he has a slight chances to get a game in middle-order. Rishabh Pant who didn’t utilize opportunities in first two matches, possibly get another chance in this game. In case, if he fail to be in the XI, Rahul would take his place. The experienced Suresh Raina has a job to do. He managed to score 28 runs against Bangladesh with strike-rate of under 100. Team India need him to go for quick runs and play an aggressive innings against Sri Lanka. He also expected to bowl few overs with his part-time off spin.

Manish Pandey contributed with some important runs in both matches but he should score at better strike-rate to take team to the par score. Dinesh Karthik is handling the wicket-keeper’s job along with batting at no. 6. As top order occupies most of the innings, he didn’t get much of chances to explode. Once he gets his opportunity, he will smack all over the park. The teen all-rounder Washington Sundar has bowled an economical spell in both occasions and claimed 2 wickets against Sri Lanka last week. He will keep his place in the team and don’t forget he could play an aggressive knocks with a bat too. All-rounder Vijay Shankar was the man of the match against Bangladesh and he earned the award on his very second match. As he is much better with the bat than bowl, no surprise if he come up in the order tonight. The leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will continue to play in the XI and his four overs will be very crucial for the team. Pacer Jaydev Unadkat conceded 35 runs for 1 wicket in the first meet against Sri Lanka then he came back stronger against Bangladesh and picked 3 important wickets. He will lead the pace attack once again. Shardul Thakur will get another game even after he gone for too expensive spell against Sri Lanka last time. In case, he is not in the XI, Mohammad Siraj will take his place.
