Three matches, three wins for Team India and they are at top of the mountains with an unbeatable lead 3-0. The home team South Africa’s trouble against Indian wrist spinners till continuing, now they have a last chance to keep the series alive. The star player AB de Villiers has been added to the squad for remaining three matches and that will be a boost for South Africa. Fourth ODI match between South Africa vs India schedule to start at 1 PM Local | 4:30 PM IST on Saturday, 10th February 2018.

Consecutive poor performances threatening a series loss for South Africa. After lost all first three matches, South Africa on a verge of losing home series to India if they face another loss in the 4th match on Saturday. The arrival of AB de Villiers will be a biggest boost for the side but a call on his availability for this match on Saturday at the Wanderers will only be taken at Friday’s practice. After bowled out for 118 runs in Centurion, Aiden Markram led-side lost 9 wickets in the span of 100 runs in the last match and Indian spinners took 8 out of those 9 wickets. The class opener Hashim Amla failed once again in the series and struggling for a form. His scores were 16, 23 and 1 runs respectively. South Africa usually does very well when they are playing in pink colors at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Amla is expected to find some good form on this occasion of pink match. Aiden Markram, the stand-in captain was moved to opening position in the last game and somehow he responded well with much needed 32 runs. But, as a captain and the future of this team, Markram has lot of things to deliver in the upcoming three matches.

JP Duminy was promoted to no. 3 in the last game and he was the top scorer of South Africa with 51 runs. The well experienced Duminy had a good day with a bowl where he picked 2 wickets in crucial times. If ABD is fit to play, Duminy has a chance to move back to no. 4 in the batting order. As AB de Villiers is not available to take care of gloves work, Heinrich Klaasen will get a game once again. Klaasen was very disappointed on his debut but he has an opportunity to settle down the heat by scoring runs for the team. The out-of-form David Miller and Khaya Zondo places are in jeopardy. Zondo struggled too much in his knock of 17 off 38 on other day. If Farhaan Behardien get a place in the XI, then both Miller and Zondo will make a way for ABD and Behardien. Otherwise, either one of them will be sit out for AB de Villiers. After two disappointing matches with a ball, Chris Morris had a some decent day with his bowling. He picked 1 for 45 in his 9 overs. Morris is the quality all-rounder and he could turn the game with his all-round efforts in this game.

Andile Phehlukwayo has replaced Tabraiz Shamsi and had an average outing in the last game. If suppose South Africa wish to play with Shamsi, Phehlukwayo will move back to bench once again. It was a frustrating ODI debut for Lungi Ngidi. He conceded 47 runs to pick a wicket in his 6 overs. Most probably, Ngidi will lose his place back to Morne Morkel. Once again, it wasn’t a great day for Imran Tahir who claimed 1 for 52 in his 9 overs spell. But finally Tahir had picked his first wicket in the series. Indian spinners are performing so good, it’s time for Tahir to deliver for South Africa. Kagiso Rabada had some disappointing moments in the last game and he bowled well too. He is the asset in the bowling department and hope for much improved performances from him.

Twin spin magic, Virat and Shikhar’s quality top order batting helped India to win third match in a row on Wednesday. Talk of the cricket world, wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal had picked 21 wickets out of 28 in first three ODIs. Shikhar Dhawan laid a momentum with a firing knock of 76 off 63 balls and skipper Virat Kohli capitalized the good start by converting it to huge 160 not out. India successfully go past 300 runs in 50 overs and spin bowlers did a rest for the team. Rohit Sharma’s poor form is the biggest worry part at top of the order. Rohit’s highest score in the series was 20 runs which he scored in the first game. As Johannesburg hosts the next game, Rohit has a big role to play in this shorter ground. India will keep him in the XI until they win the series, if India register their fourth consecutive win in this game then Rohit will make way for rest of the batsmen in bench for next 2 matches.

Shikhar Dhawan makes a point clear that he could bat well in overseas. Dhwana has played well structured knocks in all three innings. He unfortunately ran out for 35 runs in the first game, but scored back-to-back half-centuries with 51* and 76 runs respectively. If he continue the good form, will play a big role in Johannesburg. Two big centuries in 3 matches for skipper Virat Kohli. The run machine lifts all responsibilities on his shoulder and playing match winning knocks day after day for the team. Undoubtedly, he deserves a place in every fantasy teams. After played a fine match winning knock in the first game, Ajinkya Rahane didn’t utilize the opportunity in the last game. But the batsman hunger of runs will come back with a good innings in this game.

There was a batting collapse in middle-order, all three MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav fell one by one in crucial times. They would correct their errors and as Johannesburg known for batsmen-friendly in the ODI format, the big-hitters will go hard all over the park. There will not be any change in the bowling unit. Spin duo Chahal and Kuldeep threatens the opposition all through the series and they have to keep that attack forward in this game. Bhuvneshwar didn’t bowl upto his potential so far, but he could come back to the form at any time. His batting at no.8 is a key to keep his place safe in the XI. Jasprit Bumrah, the limited overs specialist had a very good day in Cape Town. He had taken 2 for 32 in 7 overs and in a need to continue that good form in Johannesburg as well.
