A 26-runs victory helped team India to start another white-ball series with a lead. South Africa missed a service of AB de Villiers in the first game. Unfortunately, he has been ruled out for remainder of the series due to injury which increases the home team’s burden more. The strong Indian side looks to seals the series with 2 straight wins. Second T20I match between South Africa vs India is schedule to start at 6 PM Local | 9:30 PM IST on Wednesday, 21st February 2018.

The batting all-rounder JP Duminy is the captain for the ongoing series and his team came 26 runs short in the first game at Johannesburg. The inexperience played a huge role for South Africa in that game. In the high scoring venue Johannesburg, none of South African bowlers bowled well. The debutant Junior Dala picked 2 for 47 runs while other three bowlers shared a wicket each. Top order batsman Reeza Hendricks carry forwarded his domestic T20 form to international match and scored a well made 70 runs off 50 balls. But as he didn’t a company from rest of the batsmen, South Africa settled with 175 for 9 in 20 overs. As no AB de Villiers for rest of the series, South Africa has no other choice except go with the same batting unit. That means all-rounder JJ Smuts continue to open the innings who scored only 14 runs in the last game. He is very good at domestic level, now it’s his opportunity prove what he capable at bigger stage.

Skipper Duminy had a poor game once again this time he scored only 3 runs. He didn’t bowl in the first match, hope for some short bowling spell from him on Wednesday. He probably back to form with a bat too. David Miller’s unusual urgency caused him a wicket other day. Miller used to mistiming the ball game after game in this season, he should correct errors to keep the name T20 specialist. The player of the tournament in recent Ram Slam T20, Farhaan Behardien batted well for his 39 off 27 balls but he thrown his wicket at wrong time and that made a collapse in the batting. Behardien is capable of playing a match winning knocks, so he stands as a key player. Wicket keeper Heinrich Klaasen has a chance to come up in the order and he generally plays a very good role at no. 4. If he comes at that position, he may give you a lot of fantasy points. It was a bad outing for Chris Morris and his bad season continues. Morris should find his all-round form back as IPL is nearby. Shamsi who bowls really well in T20 format had an average day in the first match. He might get a company of Aaron Phangiso in this spin-friendly Centurion track. The expensive Dane Paterson possibly make a way for Phangiso in this game. Junior Dala bowled somehow better than others on his international debut hopefully, will do much better job in this game.

After clinch a maiden ODI series win in South Africa soil, Team India looking for another history this time in shorter format. Batsmen and bowlers shown a clinical performances once again and good team effort helped them to take a lead of 1-0. Shikhar Dhawan’s 72 runs with a bat and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s maiden 5 wicket haul in T20Is were a major highlights of India performances in Johannesburg last Sunday. Rohit Sharma gave a flying start with 2 sixes and 2 fours in his short 9 balls innings. He scored a century when he was at Centurion last time for the 6th ODI last week. If he capitalize the opportunity, he may go for big runs once again at this venue on Wednesday. Shikhar Dhawan’s dream season continues even in T20 format. He played a monstrous innings of 72 runs off 39 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Undoubtedly, he is a key player for India and also for fantasy players. Suresh Raina made a return to Team India with a massive six. He lost his wicket for 15 runs but compensated it with his fielding efforts. Raina is a specialist white-ball player and he could turn the game with his all-round performances at any time. Skipper Virat Kohli who smashed three centuries in the ODI series, managed to scored 26 runs in the first match. As he always does a great job in shorter format, we can expect a big knock from him at any moment. Manish Pandey played a slow cameo of 29 runs off 27 balls which caused a run-flow in death overs. Manish will possibly get a second chance at the same time KL Rahul may get his opportunity in place of Manish Pandey. There are other possibility, if Kuldeep is fit to play and as Centurion pitch supports spinners well, chances are high for India to play with 5 specialist bowlers along with all-rounder Hardik Pandya in this game. That case Kuldeep, Chahal, Bhuvneshwar, Bumrah and Unadkat all will take a part in the playing XI.

The experienced wicket-keeper MS Dhoni’s finisher’s tag continue to fade away as he fails to finish the innings in high note. He will retain his place in the XI once again and 50/50 chances for him to shine in this game. All rounder Hardik Pandya who bowled so well in last two ODI matches last week, bowled an expensive spell other day in Johannesburg. As it was the nature of Johannesburg track, Pandya will get a second chance and some possible chances for him to come up in the order to regain his batting form. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had bowled so well at Centurion during the ODI series and claimed 7 wickets in 2 matches. Therefore, he may come with another memorable spell at this venue on Wednesday. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struggled for a rhythm during ODIs, but he bounce back so good and picked a maiden 5 wicket haul in the first match. With that effort, Bhuvi will play a key role once again in the series. White-ball specialist Bumrah gone wicket-less other day but he could be back with at least 2 wickets in this game. No wonder if he claims 3 or more in this game. Jaydev Unadkat, the most expensive sold in the IPL auction bowled well in his 4 overs spell and picked a wicket. The left-arm pacer may bowl much better spell in this game. If India decides to strict with 2 pace and 2 spin options, Unadkat will make a way for Kuldeep Yadav.
