The availability of skipper Shakib al Hasan is not confirm yet for this crucial match. He was sidelined with an hand injury during the final of Tri-Nation ODI series last month. As he didn’t find full fitness, he missed out the first match on Thursday and he probably set to miss the final match of this home season too. Bangladesh batsmen did a great job other day to score 193 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Half-centuries by Mushfiqur Rahim and Soumya Sarkar lifted the team to competitive total but very average bowling performances and poor fielding efforts caused them a match later on. Except for debutant Nazmul Islam, none other bowler had bowled under 7 runs per over that evening. Most experienced bowlers Mustafizur and Rubel leaked so many runs in that game. Now, they are in must win situation to share the series. As Tamim Iqbal wasn’t fit other day, Zakir Hasan opened the innings with Sarkar. Tamim is expect play this match and that case Zakir will make a way for him. The experienced pair of Tamim and Soumya Sarkar will play a big role at top order batting. Sarkar scored a very good half-century on his return, hopefully will play one more good innings.

Mushfiqur Rahim promoted to no. 3 in the batting order and he sealed the opportunity nicely. He scored much needed 66 off 44 balls in that game. He is the key player and will come with big innings once again. Debutant Afif Hossain had a very tough day with duck out and an expensive bowling spell. The youngster deserves a second chance hopefully, he will get it that. Stand-in skipper Mahmudullah probably lead the side once again on Sunday. He played a good handy cameo of 43 runs in the first game, the experienced all-rounder is expected to play big role with both bat and bowl in this game. Sabbir and Ariful batted at no. 6 and 7 respectively in the first game. Both of them has a chances to keep their place safely. Mohammad Saifuddin had bowled very expensive two overs which means he might make a way for Abu Hider Rony who awaiting for come back to the national XI. Mustafizur and Rubel were too expensive in the last game, but based on their experiences both of them will get a game in Sylhet. Other debutant Nazmul Islam was the best pick of the bowler with 2 for 25 in 4 overs spell. He did a great job during BPL season and he is ready to play another good role in this fixture too.

Sri Lanka’s good tour continues in T20 format too. After sealed tri-nation ODI series and test series successfully, Dinesh Chandimal led-side chased down mammoth 194 runs target with 3.2 overs to spare. The veteran Jeevan Mendis rocked with 2 for 21 in 3 overs on his return. Rest of the bowlers had bowled expensive spells in the first game. But batsmen gave a solution for bowlers poor performances with their tremendous batting show. The openers Kusal Mendis and Danushka Gunathilaka offered flying opening stand with 53 runs partnership inside five overs. Gunathilaka settled with 30 off 15 balls and also with one wicket in his part time spell. But Kusal Mendis played a breathtaking innings of 53 off 27 balls. Both of them may come with similar kind of performances of Sunday evening too. It wasn’t a great day for the experienced Upul Tharanga who lost a wicket for just 4 runs. Tharanga is quite dangerous limited overs batsman and he could come back with strong reply in this game.

Bowling all-rounder Dasun Shanaka was promoted at no. 4 and he responded so well with an unbeaten 42 off 24 balls. Shanaka didn’t bowl in the first match, seems he is playing as a specialist batsman in this series. Wicket keeper Niroshan Dickwella fading away slowly with his de-promotion to no. 5 in the shorter format. He managed to score only 9 runs other day, hope for some good show from him on Sunday. All-rounder Thisara Perera had an average day with a ball but he compensated that with his firing batting performances. He scored an unbeaten 39 runs off 18 balls. Keeps an eye on this big hitting big all-rounder Perera and he will give you lots of points once again. Skipper Dinesh Chandimal sent other players to bat and created an opportunity for them. He is an experinced and dangerous player in the format, chances for him to play a good innings this time around. Jeevan Mendis returned back to international cricket with an outstanding bowling performances. He claimed 2 wickets in his first overs and finished off with 2 for 21 in 3 overs. Jeevan will keep his place in the XI. Akila Dananjaya had bowled a wicket-less spell but his place is safe in the XI. Isuru Udana and Snehan Madushanka were too expensive other day which means at least one of them will go back to bench. That case, either Jeffrey Vandersay or Asitha Fernando will get a game in Sylhet.
