The defending champions Titans dominated group stage with 6 straight wins and secured the rights of hosting 1st semi-final in the on-going Ram Slam T20 Challenge tournament. Titans set to face Warriors who sealed 4th spot in the table at last moment. Both of these teams battled out in last year Final and Titans won the trophy. Will Warriors upset Titans and go to Final? The first semi-final between Titans vs Warriors scheduled to begin at 6 PM Local | 9:30 PM IST on Wednesday, 13th December 2017.

After dominating the points table with mammoth 32 points, Titans has qualified for semi-final for third straight year and also earned a rights to host it in Centurion. Titans rested all of their top players and played with the B-team against Dolphins in the last round of group stage. As the knock-out stage begins, they brought back all leading players to their 14-man squad. Captain Albie Morkel, AB de Villiers, Farhaan Behardien, Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, Chris Morris and Lungi Ngidi all of them are back in the squad and ready to play. Henry Davids will open the innings along with the explosive wicket-keeping batsman Quinton de Kock. Davids has scored only half-century in 7 innings this season and he scored that in early part of the tournament. He managed to score decent 30 runs in the last innings he played. On other side, Quinton de Kock didn’t fire up in the tournament. He started with quick 39 runs against Lions in the first game. Since that he scored only 39 runs in 5 innings in the season. This could be a right time for him to fire all cylinders and expecting match winning performances from this proteas star. Aiden Markram will be back to his position of no. 3 in the order. After scored 50, 45 and 51* in consecutive innings, Markram managed to score only 16 runs in his last two innings. He is a good player who could be back with a fine knock on Wednesday. He is also the useful part-timer who claimed 4 wickets in 2 innings.

The star player AB de Villiers fired up in all four innings that he batted. He smashed 50*, 43, 37 and 48 runs respectively. Without a doubt he deserves a place in all fantasy teams. Farhaan Behardien is the match winner of Titans this year, he batted so well in all 6 innings and scored 37*, 43*, 15*, 36*, 56* and 43 runs respectively. Do not miss him for any cost. Captain Albie Morkel started the season with man of the match performances but he didn’t make much of impacts in recent matches. Hopefully, the T20 specialist will come with an impressive show on Wednesday. Bowling all-rounder Chris Morris will fight for a place along with returned back fast bowler Morne Morkel. Chris Morris has played only 3 matches since he return from an injuries. He claimed 3 wickets in 3 matches, on other side Morne Morkel returned to competitive for the first time on Sunday and claimed 2 for 25 in his 4 overs spell. Morris has more chances to be in the XI as he is good with bat too. After so many good performances Tabraiz Shamsi bowled a poor spell on Sunday. But he has all abilities to be back with an economical and wicket taking spells. Lungi Ngidi also back in the side after short break and he can offer 2 or more wickets in this game. Malusi Siboto and Junior Dala are other notable players in the squad. They are regular members of Titans and they proved their talents at many occasions.

The runner-up of last year Warriors struggled a lot and was at bottom of the table for quite long time this year. But their consecutive wins in last 3 matches of the group stage rewarded them a place in semi-final. Warriors grabbed Cobras all-rounder Wayne Parnell under the loan and Parnell has been named in the squad for this semi-final clash. Skipper JJ Smuts used to open the innings for Warriors and he found the form at right time. He played a match winning knocks of 69 and 48 runs respectively in last two innings. He also very useful with his left-arm spin bowling. Wayne Parnell had a poor season since he returned from an injuries. He played two matches for Cobras and remained wicketless. He also remained wicket-less for Warriors against Lions on Friday. He is expected to replace Yaseen Vallie at top of the order and we could expect good all-round performances from him on Wednesday. Colin Ingram is one of the important player in Warriors squad and he also played a good knock in the last game. Ingram was the reason for Warriors first win in the season where he smashed 89 runs. On Sunday, Ingram helped the team with 41 with a bat and 2 for 18 with a ball.

Christian Jonker continuously playing a good knocks for Warriors and he contributed with runs all three recent matches. He scored 59, 30, 38 runs respectively and he also shined with his part-time over in the last game. Colin Ackermann, the promising player struggled to score runs quickly in recent matches. He is one of the reason for Warriors success last year, hopefully he will come with an impressive show tomorrow night. The lower middle-order filled with an less experienced players like Lesiba Ngoepe, Solo Nqweni and Jerry Nqolo. Ngoepe contributed with some quick runs in end overs, but other two didn’t bring much this year. Sisanda Magala used to bowl slightly expensive overs but at the same time he claims wickets at crucial situations and that holds him in the XI. The wicket-keeper Gihann Cloete used to open the innings in the first half of the season. Currently, he bats at lower down the order and when we have players like Quinton de Kock in the opposition, Cloete wouldn’t be better wicket keeper option for Fantasy players. Andrew Birch is the front-line pacer in the side. He bowled well all recent matches and claimed 4 wickets in last 3 innings. He also bowls a good economical spells. From the Warriors, Birch deserves a place in your team. The expensive BD Walters kept the place in the team only because of the experiences. He is expected to continue in the XI and some sort of chances for him to make impress with his 4 overs spell.
