Bangladesh Premier League hosts one more double-header on the last match day of the league stage. In the afternoon match, Dhaka Dynamites meets Rangpur Riders in the clash and the result of this game will make last minute changes in the playoffs. If Dynamites win, they will move back to 2nd place or else Riders will push Dynamites to 4th place in the points table. Match 41 between Dhaka Dynamites vs Rangpur Riders scheduled to start at 1 PM Local | 12:30 PM IST on Wednesday, 6th December 2017.

In the match between Comilla and Khulna, both teams tested their bench strength with multiple changes in their lineups on Tuesday. Khulna Titans won that game and pushed Dynamites to no. 3 in the points table. As Dynamites needs a must win here to avoid the eliminator game in playoffs, they are expecting to play with their full strength in this game against Riders on Wednesday. Dhaka Dynamites lost their path in the second half of the season and lost 3 out of last 5 matches. They got the team combination right in the last game against Rajshahi Kings and won that game by huge margin of 99 runs, thanks to Sunil Narine and Shakib al Hasan. It was a clinical performances from Dynamites other night and the defending champions found their way back in to the competition as well. The new opening pair of Joe Denly and Sunil Narine produced a solid opening stand. The magical spinner Sunil Narine smashed the ball all over the park and scored 69 runs off just 34 balls. Joe Denly scored a half-century but he faced 54 balls to score 53 runs in that innings. As the hard-hitting opener Evin Lewis is expected to be back in the XI for this game, Joe Denly might go back to the bench. Cameron Delport found a place in the XI after missing the game against Victorians, but he was disappointed with a dismissal for 0 run. If Dynamites decides to drop Delport once again then Joe Denly would keep his place in the XI and will bat at no. 3.

The power-hitter Kieron Pollard was promoted in the order and scored 33 off just 14 balls with 4 sixes. He also bowled for the first time in the season and picked 1 for 19 runs in 2 overs. Pollard deserves a place in the XI and also in your fantasy teams. The most experienced T20 all-rounder Shahid Afridi managed to score 14 off 7 in end overs and had a tough time with a ball. He claimed 1 for 37 in his 3 overs spell. Afridi is a match winner and he could turn the game at any moment. No wonder if he claims 3 or more wickets and also play some quick innings in this game. Captain Shakib al Hasan had a dream day with a bowl when he claimed 4 for 8 runs in 4 overs. He also bowled a maiden over in that spell. Shakib always does well in Dhaka track, hopefully he will shine once again on Wednesday. With a heavy top-order wicket-keeper Jahurul Islam moved to lower middle-order and he is expected to continue at the same position in this game as well. The extra batsman Nadif Chowdhury might make a way for either Mohammad Shahid or Saqlain Sajib. The speedster Mohammad Amir is in the squad and he has a possibility to get a game against Riders. Mosaddek Hossain had a very good day and taken 2 for 9 with a bowl against Kings other night. Abu Hider Rony who bowled well controlled spells with lots of wickets in the first half of the season, struggled to pick wickets in last few games. He also bowled very expensive spells too. He will keep the place in the team anyway and there are chances for him to get his form back.

It’s a good chance for Rangpur Riders to jump-up third place in the points table if they defeat Dynamites in this last league game. Anyways Riders will be the part of Eliminator game in playoff, but the win in this game will increase their confidence level ahead of Play-offs. Riders defeated Khulna Titans in a tensed game on Sunday night. They came back very well after bowled out for just 97 runs against Victorians before that Titans game. Chris Gayle used to open the innings with Ziaur Rahman in last 3 occasions. The pair may continue as Brendon McCullum prefer to bat at no. 3. Brendon McCullum who struggles for scoring runs at good strike-rate, in urgency to get his rhythm right in this game. After two failures in a row, the Universe Boss Chris Gayle came with good contribution of 38 off 27 balls against Titans. Both Gayle and McCullum are dangerous and a key players at top order of Riders. The wicket-keeper Mohammad Mithun played a sensible knock and remained unbeaten 50 not out off 35 balls in the last game. He justifies the place at no. 4 position.

It was not a great game with a bat for Ravi Bopara who played consistently well throughout the season. For a change, Bopara shined with a ball and picked 2 for 4 runs in his part-time spell. Bopara is the other match winner in the Riders side and we can expect match turning performances from him on Wednesday. Sri Lanka’s Chamara Kapugedera got another game on Sunday and he failed with just 2 runs once again. Chances are high for him to be drop for this game and that case Adam Lyth might back in the side after long time. The other Sri Lankan Isuru Udana played a two games in a row but he was not much impressive, especially in the last game which may bring back Lasith Malinga to the XI. Captain Mashrafe Mortaza contributes well with both bat and ball for Riders. He scores quick runs in the end overs and also bowls well economical spells with wickets. He brings all his experiences and performs well at the moment for the team. The spin bowlers Sohag Gazi, Nazmul Islam and Nahidul Islam were in top form against Titans other night. All three of them picked a wicket each and bowled well controlled spells too. Remember, Nazmul Islam has claimed a tally of 6 wickets in the last 3 games with a destructive economical spells. He might contributes well with a bowl once again on Wednesday afternoon.
