As all league matches are over, Bangladesh Premier League – season 5 begins Play-off knock-out round with a double-header on this Fantastic Friday. Finished at 3rd and 4th in the points table, Khulna Titans and Rangpur Riders meets in a clash which known as the eliminator. The team wins will stay in the competition while the losing side’s run will comes to an end. The Eliminator between Khulna Titans vs Rangpur Rider scheduled to start at 2 PM Local | 1:30 PM IST on Friday, 8th December 2017.

Mahmudullah led Khulna Titans had some roller-coaster ride in the points table between place 2 and 3. After the victory of Dynamites yesterday, they pushed Titans to third place and also put them in a position to play the eliminator on Friday. Titans qualified to the playoffs with 7 wins out of 12 matches and 15 points. Titans back in to winning ways at right time after faced consecutive losses last week. Michael Klinger replaced Rilee Rossouw in the last two games and scored 44 and 29 runs respectively with a strike-rate of 100. He used to give decent start but not much explosive and that may cause him a place as Rossouw has some sort of chances to be back in the XI. Nazmul Hossain Shanto has improved a lot in last few games and scored a quick-fire 37 off 21 balls in the last league game against Comilla Victorians. He looks promising right now and may add some more runs to his kitty with this match. The all rounder Afif Hossain was used to bat no. 3 for Titans for past few matches but in the last match he did not get a chance to bat. He might be back to no. 3 for this game and also he used to bowl well economical spells with the off-spin. Captain Mahmudullah Riyad is the backbone of the team. After had few poor matches in recent times, Mahmudullah promoted himself to no. 3 and scored 23 runs in the last match. He also took an initiative with a bowl and picked 1 for 22 in 4 overs other day. He is the match winner of the team and deserves a place in all your fantasy teams.

Nicholas Pooran smashed 57 off 26 balls against Kings some days ago, since then he managed to score only 9 runs in 3 innings. If he lose the place in the XI, then Chadwick Walton might get back into the XI. Also, don’t forget if Sarfaraz Ahmed is available for this game, he has a chance to play too. The lower middle-order looks strong with Ariful Haque and Carlos Brathwaite. Both of them have played a good quick knocks in the last game which helped the team to win the game at right time in the tournament. Brathwaite had a good day with both bat and bowl and he is expected to bring similar performances in this crucial do or die game. All rounder Benny Howell finally got a game in the last game and he replaced Jofra Archer in the XI. Howell contributed with quick 9 runs in the last over and also picked 2 for 32 in 4 overs spell. He may keep the place in the XI but at the same time Jofra Archer has a possibilities to be back in the XI as he did a good job throughout the tournament. Abu Jayed claimed 2 wickets other day but he continue to bowl expensive spells. He is one of the key local bowler in the team and he will get a game on Friday. Shafiul Islam who was rested for the last game will be back in the side by replacing Mosharraf Hossain. There were no clue why Titans keep Junaid Khan in the bench for last few matches. We hope that Junaid Khan will be back in the XI for this crucial game and once he back, will play a key role in bowling department.

Rangpur Riders qualified to play-offs with each 6 wins and 6 losses. Riders lost their last league match to Dhaka Dynamites and they have rested 7 of their players in that game, including the captain Mashrafe Mortaza. As they are part of do or die game on Friday, all of their top players will be back to the XI. Chris Gayle has scored 38 off 27 against Titans before he was rested against Dynamites. His opening partner Ziaur Rahman also rested other night and he also in line to make his return to the XI. If Chris Gayle is in full flow, the storm will vanish the opponents on Friday. Brendon McCullum led the team in the last game, but as an individual he struggles a lot in number of matches recent times. He is one of the most experienced T20 player and the team needs him to step-up in this game. Shahriar Nafees who played the last game will go back to bench as he failed to score runs in that game. Wicket-keeper Mohammad Mithun looks promising with his useful knocks in the middle-order and he will be the good wicket-keeper choice in fantasy concerns. The all-rounder Ravi Bopara has done a great job in the first half of the tournament but he failed in last few matches. In the last game, Bopara scored an unbeaten 28 runs but he scored that less than 100 strike-rate. If Bopara comes good in this game that would help Riders in a big way. Chamara Kapugedera failed in both matches that he played therefore he may not get a game on Friday. He may make a way for Samiullah Shenwari if he is available.

Nahidul Islam has a great day with a ball against Dynamites on Wednesday. He bowled 4 overs and picked 1 for just 12 runs. He is also handy with a bat in the lower middle-order, so he has a chance to play key role once again. Captain Mashrafe Mortaza will be back in the XI and he has to plenty of things in this game for Riders. He did a great job with a bowl and also with a bat sometimes, hopefully, Mortaza will bring all his experience to win the game for the team. After rested for the last game, spinner Nazmul Islam is expected to return to the XI and remember he played a huge role in Riders success in recent matches. Nazmul Islam assures wickets with an economic spell, so he deserves a place in fantasy teams as well. As West Indies leggie Samuel Badree bowled so well against Dynamites, he has a chance to get game against Titans. Badree is one of the T20 specialist bowler in the world and finally he got a chance in the last game. If Riders prefers to go with a pacer then Rubel Hossain will keep the place safe in the XI or else Sohag Gazi will replace him to add more strength to spin unit.
