In the first match, the defending champs Titans faces their opponent for last year final Warriors. Titans tops the points table with 2 wins while Warriors lost their opening game to Knights. Match 5 between Warriors vs Titans scheduled to start at 6 PM Local | 9:30 PM IST on Friday, 17th November 2017.

The runners-up of last year Warriors set to be back in action after the rest of one week. Warriors hosted Knights in the season opener on last Friday and lost that game. Warriors hosts second straight match on second straight Friday. All-rounder JJ Smuts is the skipper of Warriors and the franchise has named 13-member squad for this clash against Titans on Friday. Warriors has made one change in their squad, Anrich Nortje left out for Lesiba Ngoepe. All other teams has several national players in their squads but Warriors are lack on that part. Captain JJ Smuts opened the innings along with wicket keeper Gihann Cloete. Both openers started the game in positive note and gave a decent start for the team. JJ Smuts who known for hard-hitting at top of the order dismissed unfortunately when he looked to take-off. He is the match winner of Warriors and he could come with all-round efforts at anytime. Cloete once again earned an opportunity in the squad ahead of Clyde Fortuin. Cloete managed to score 19 runs at 135.71 other day, he may come with much better knock in this game. The well experienced player Colin Ingram generally plays a decent and destructive innings for Warriors. But he dismissed for only 5 runs against Knights. The 32-years old has played so many match winning knocks for Warriors and he is expected to come with a big knock on Friday evening. He is also capable of claiming crucial wickets at crucial stage of the match.

Colin Ackermann and Chris Jonker are the pillars of Warriors middle-order. Ackermann is very useful player who offers both batting and bowling. He played several good knocks for Warriors last year but lost his wicket only for 2 runs in the last game. Chris Jonker was the top-scorer for Warriors against Knights. He played a stunning knock of 61 off 38 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. He maintains an overall strike-rate of 130 in T20 cricket, hopefully, he will play one more good knock in this game. Warriors played with Jerry Nqolo, Solo Nqweni and Aya Gqamane in lower middle-order. Among three of them, Nqolo has a chance to make a way for batsman Lesiba Ngoepe. Nqolo failed with a bat other day and didn’t get an opportunity to bowl as well. Aya Gqamane is the all-rounder who could score runs quickly in end overs and also offers fast-medium bowling in middle-overs. Sisanda Magala lost his wicket for a golden duck against Knights, but he contributed with a bowl in that same game. Andrew Birch and BD Walters are front-line pace bowlers of Warriors and they have played lot of matches for the franchise. Birch bowled at 9.25 runs per over while Walters bowled at 10 per over in the game against Knights. As they are facing the defending champions in this clash, both Birch and Walters has huge amount of responsibilities on their shoulders. Brother of skipper JJ Smuts, Kelly Smuts warmed the bench other day. As Warriors lost the first game, Kelly may included in the XI to strengthen the middle-order.

Albie Morkel led-side started the season with consecutive victories and going good in their title defending campaign. Titans are the most dominating team in the competition and they turned as more dominating side with an inclusion of South African star players Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, Farhaan Behardien and Dale Steyn. Clinical all-around performances took Titans to top of the table at early point of the tournament. Titans revealed their 13-man squad for this away clash against Warriors. After played back-to-back top knocks star batsman AB de Villiers takes a rest and misses out. Heinrich Klaasen added to the squad on the expense of ABD. Quinton de Kock opens the innings with Henry Davids. South African wicket keeper played a handy innings in the first game and ran out for 9 runs in a second. He is a key player who could give a monstrous start for the team. The experienced Henry David failed and scored only 5 runs in the opening game. He came back strong and scored healthy 50 runs off 42 balls last night. Aiden Markram was back into his original batting position of no. 3 in the last game against Knights and he smashed match winning 50 off 34 balls. He was in very good form across format in recent times, waiting for another good knock from Markram on Friday night.

As AB de Villiers rested, Heinrich Klaasen is expected to be in the XI stright away. The wicket-keeping batsman has scored a total of 901 runs at the strike-rate of 144 in 38 innings. His highest score was 77*, guess he will make an impression with a fine knock against Warriors. Skipper Albie Morkel continue his tremendous form with both bat and bowl. After claimed 3 for 12 runs and scored 41 off 16 balls in the first game, he picked 1 for 10 in the last game. He may come up in the order once again and smash the ball all over the park. He takes initiative with a ball and bowls first over for his team. He might have another great day for Titans. Malusi Siboto and Tabraiz Shamsi has shared 2 wickets each in the last game. Left-arm spinner Shamsi may play a key role in this game. Returned back spearhead Dale Steyn bowled a decent spell other day. He retains a place in the squad and will get a game again on Friday. Steyn might go through deep on Warriors batting-order, if that happens you will earn lot of fantasy points. Young Lungi Ngidi and Junior Dala had a decent day against Knights. Both are impressive bowlers, especially keep an eyes on Ngidi who entered the national side with his amazing performances in the last year T20 challenge tournament. David Wiese and Dean Elgar are expected to warm the bench once again.
