Ongoing Ram Slam T20 tournament set to host another triple-header on this Friday. All three matches are scheduled to start at same time. In first match, Dolphins hosts Cape Cobras in Durban. Cape Cobras jumped to second place in the ladder while Dolphins moved down to 3rd place. Match 18 between Dolphins vs Cape Cobras is scheduled to begin at 6 PM Local | 9:30 PM IST on Friday, 1st December 2017.

Dolphins team may frustrated with three washout games out of 5 they played. Both of their previous home matches ended in no result while their next home fixture also under doubt as some rain in forecast for Durban on Friday. Khaya Zondo and his men started the season with record setting total and win. But they lost the next game to Lions. Now they are in third position with 10 points. Dolphins made one change to their 13-man squad, bring in the experienced batsman Vaughn van Jaarsveld on the expense of rookie Eathan Bosch. With the arrival of Vaughn van Jaarsveld, Dolphins batting unit looks more strong and they can post any kind of total on Friday. Sarel Erwee and Morne van Wyk used to open the innings for Dolphins and both did good job. The pair is expected to continue at top of the order followed by Jaarsveld. Sarel Erwee who smashed a century against Cobras in the previous meet, could score well once again against Cobras. Morne van Wyk, the most experienced player in the group did a good job with scores of 19 off 7 and 42 off 30 respectively. He may play one more key role on Friday. Vaughn van Jaarsveld maintains very decent record in his T20 career. He scored over 2500 runs at strike-rate of 119 and his highest T20 score was 93*.

Wicket keeper Dane Vilas will move to no. 4 position and he could be dangerous at this position. He used to score runs quickly in T20 matches, hopefully, will come with match winning performances on Friday. By the way he could be a right choice wicket keeper in terms of Fantasy. After scoring match winning 67 off 34 balls Captain Khaya Zondo managed to score only 8 runs against Lions. He is the other quality batsman in the side who has all capacity to play another big innings. The power-hitting all rounder Robbie Frylinck and Proteas all rounder Andile Phehlukwayo will take care of Dolphins batting at no. 6 and 7. Both are very useful players with both bat and bowl and both of them will play big role in this game. Sibonelo Makhanya posted an unbeaten 46 off 34 against Lions. With the strong batting line-up, Makhanya may be move down in the batting order but he is capable of scoring quick runs at death overs. He also helpful with 2 or 3 overs spell in middle-overs. The spin combo of Imran Tahir and Keshav Maharaj will be in full effects on Friday night. Both of them had a very average outing against Lions, but they are expecting to be back with good spells in this game. On the arrival of van Jaarsveld, spinner Prenelan Subrayen will be the possible person to be dropped. Mthokozisi Shezi will keep his place in the XI and no wonder if he claims 2 or more wickets in this match.

Hat-trick of losses in first three matches followed by hat-trick of wins in next three matches pushed Cape Cobras to move up in the points table. They are at second place currently with 12 points. Cobras faced series of losses against Dolphins, Lions and Titans respectively. But three consecutive wins in last 6 days brought them back into the competition. Cobras dropped experienced players Richard Levi and Vernon Philander for the last game against Warriors on Wednesday night. Richard Levi was expected to be dropped due to his poor batting performances. But his replacement Qaasim Adams dismissed for first ball duck in that game against Warriors, which means possibilities are high for Cobras to bring back Levi to the XI on Friday. Proteas players Hashim Amla and Temba Bavuma gave a solid opening stand for the team against Warriors last night. Amla scored a fine half-century while Bavuma scored 42 off 43 balls. Bavuma who struggles for form scored at less than 100 strike-rate but that knock might increase his confidence level. Amla – one of the world class opener scored 52 off 36 balls in that game and he is expected to play big role against Dolphins as well.

Captain Duminy was the man of the match in both of their wins over the weekend for his consecutive half-centuries. But he managed to score only 6 runs against Warriors on Wednesday. Cobras promoted George Linde to no. 3 in the last game and he justified the promotion with a blistering half-century. He scored 52 off just 30 balls and remained not out. Linde also picked a wicket in his two overs spell later in the night. The surprising factor was Vernon Philander’s absence against Warriors. Captain Duminy mentioned that Philander was dropped due to the injury in the post match interview. He also said that Philander may be available for the game on Friday. The replacement of Philander other day, Dane Paterson did a good job with 3 for 25 runs in his 4 overs spell and he will keep his place safely. So, if Philander back in the squad then Mthiwekhaya Nabe would make a way for him. The veteran Rory Kleinveldt continues his dominance with a ball and he bowled another stunning spell in the competition on Wednesday. After claimed 3 for 19 against Knights, Kleinveldt came with a spell of 1 for 16 in 4 overs against Warriors. He has to continue his good form against the good batting unit of Dolphins. Bowling all-rounder Ferisco Adams emerging well in Cobras squad and he shined once again with 2 wickets against Warriors. There are some chances for him to pick 2 or more wickets again on Friday.
