In the on-going Ram Slam T20 tournament, table bottom Warriors travels to Durban for a clash against Dolphins. At the moment Dolphins are at third in the points table with 6 points after 3 games. Warriors lost both of their first two matches respectively. Match 10 between Dolphins vs Warriors is schedule to start at 6 PM Local | 9:30 PM IST on Wednesday, 22nd November 2017.

DOLPHINS :

Wednesday fixture will be Dolphins’ second home game of the season. Their first home match was abandoned without a ball being bowled in the clash against Knights on last Friday. In their 2 away matches, Dolphins registered huge win against Cobras and then lost to Lions in the last over thriller on Sunday. Dolphins has named the unchanged 13-man squad for this clash against Warriors on Wednesday. After started the season with an amazing century, Sarel Erwee disappointed fantasy players with only 2 runs vs Lions. He had a bad day on Sunday, but lots of possibility for him to play a good knock again in this home game. His opening partner the veteran Morne van Wyk shown some positive signs with his quick knock of 19 off 7 balls against Cobras. Then, he converted that into good knock in the game against Lions where he scored useful 42 off 30 balls. He is the most experienced player in the Dolphins group, guess that he will guide the team from front on Wednesday. It was not a good day for Dane Vilas either where he managed to score only 9 runs off 11 balls against Lions. Generally, Vilas used to maintain consistency but he had one poor game other day. He is expected to come with all his shots for this game and remember as a wicket-keeper he will give you more points with his gloves work too. After played a scintillating unbeaten knock of 67 off just 34 balls in the first game, captain Khaya Zondo lost his wicket for only 8 runs against Lions. He is the other consistent batsman in Dolphins who had one bad day in the last game. Keep an eyes on him, at anytime he will come with match-winning contributions for Dolphins.

All-rounder Sibonelo Makhanya was promoted in the batting order against Lions and he justified it with his blistering 46 runs off 34 balls. He remained unbeaten in that innings with 4 fours and a six. He also bowled well useful 3 overs spell in that same game. Money-worthy all rounder of Dolphins side, Robbie Frylinck shown an average performances with both bat and bowl against Lions. First he scored 22 runs off 18 balls in slog overs and then managed to pick 1 for 35 in 4 overs spell. He is effective and far better than those performances, so we could expect an impressive all-around show from him on Wednesday. South Africa’s international Andile Phehlukwayo was the better bowler of Dolphins on Sunday. He claimed 2 for 26 in 4 overs with a ball but scored only 10 runs with a bat. He is one of the important player in the side and hopefully, some more good performances are expected from this bowling all-rounder. Other bowling all-rounder Keshav Maharaj will play a key role in Dolphins bowling department against Warriors. He used to play better cricket at this venue than all other places which means no wonder if he claims 2 or more wickets in this game. It was not a good start for the no. 1 leg-spinner in the world Imran Tahir other day. He conceded 28 runs and remained wicket-less in his 3 overs. But remember just one bad performance won’t let this legend down and he will come with match-winning efforts in this game. Mthokozisi Shezi and Prenelan Subrayen are other bowlers who played in the last game and both of them might get a game again on Wednesday.

WARRIORS :

Nothing gone on their way in the first two matches of the season for last year’s Runner-up Warriors. JJ Smuts and his men faced two heavy defeats against Knights and Titans respectively. The bad news was Warriors faced those losses in their home matches. As they desperately need a victory at this stage of the tournament, Warriors named 14-man squad for this away clash. Batsman Yaseen Vallie has been included in the squad along with Anrich Nortje while Aya Gqamane was dropped. Warriors dropped Colin Ingram in the last game but they need Ingram definitely for this game. Captain JJ Smuts is the pillar of the team who capable of play big innings at top of the order and also picks crucial wickets with his left-arm spin. But he is yet to bring his A-game in the tournament. After had a poor game against Knights, JJ Smuts scored 20 runs with a bat and conceded none of 22 runs in 2 overs spell in the last game. Wicket-keeper cum opener Gihann Cloete had a better start against Titans where he scored 32 off 21 balls. That effort gives him another chance in the XI. There was lot of expectations on Colin Ackermann – but he failed to perform in both matches. He dismissed for duck in the last game against Titans. If he find his form back then he will take Warrriors to big win on Wednesday.

Kelly Smuts replaced the experienced Colin Ingram in the last game. Not clear whether Ingram missed a game with an injury or he was dropped. Hopefully, he will be back in the XI and will offer good show with a bat and also with bowl. Christian Jonker scored fighting 61 runs against Knights but he scored only 12 against Titans in the next game. He bats at very crucial no. 5 position, if gets a chance again surely he will give you good amount of fantasy points. Yaseen Vallie is a good batsman and he is available for this game. He may replaces Jerry Nqolo in this fixture. Sisanda Magala bowled very decent spell in the first game but he went contrast in the next game and conceded 52 runs in 4 overs. He might had one bad day, but he is one of the regular member of Warriors squad and he will retains his place in the XI against Dolphins. Front-line pacer of Warriors Andrew Birch shown some good performances in that disappointing day against Titans on last Friday. First he conceded only 22 runs in 4 overs then scored quick 24 off 13 balls in the lower order. He is a key bowler and he will give you enough of fantasy points in this game. After quite long time BD Walters had a dream day against Titans other night. He gave away only 15 runs and claimed 1 wicket in 4 overs spell that night. Some sort chances for him to bring similar performances in this match.
