The interesting fifth edition of Bangladesh Premier League hosted dozen of matches successfully in past 10 days. Dhaka set to host another double-header on Tuesday. In the first match of the day, the home side Dhaka Dynamites faces Khulna Titans and both the teams sits with 4 points each at the moment. Match 13 between Dhaka Dynamites vs Khulna Titans scheduled to start at 1 PM Local | 12:30 PM IST on Tuesday, 14th November 2017.

After losing the season opener to Sylhet Sixers, the defending champs came back strongly with back-to-back crushing victories and sitting at a second place in the points table with 4 points. In the previous meet against Titans, Shakib al Hasan led-side registered an outstanding 65-wins victory. The arrival of T20 legend Shahid Afridi helped the side further in the last game and defeated Sylhet Sixers by 8 wickets. Magical spin of Afridi and Sunil Narine costs the opposition so badly and the duo shared 7 wickets among them. Not only with a ball, Afridi who known as the king of power-hitting, smashed 17 balls 37 runs to ensure a victory for his team. Dhaka Dynamites dropped a legend for the other legend on Saturday. Kumar Sangakkara who gave a decent starts in first two matches made a way for all-rounder Afridi in the last game. Evin Lewis’s good form continued in the last game too. He scored 26 and match winning 66 runs in respectively in the first two matches. On Saturday in the game against Sixers, Lewis came with another brilliant knock and scored an unbeaten 44 off just 18 balls. Generally, Lewis used to be in inconsistent form but his performances in this ongoing BPL season gives a lot of confident to the fantasy players and picking him as a must pick player.

Shahid Afridi, the master of T20 cricket shown his game on his first match of the BPL season. First he picked 4 wickets for just 12 runs in his 4 overs and then scored a blistering 37 off 17 balls. That knock included 5 monstrous sixes. With that stunning performances, lots of hype on the legendary player already. Hopefully, he will offer another match winning performances on Tuesday. After two flying knock in the season, Cameron Delport dismissed for a golden duck on Saturday. Don’t underestimate the left-hander with that one poor day, remember the same man has scored 64 off 31 balls against Titans last week. The captain of the team Shakib Al Hasan is expected to play a huge role in the game on Tuesday. He picked only 2 wickets in 3 matches and scored only 42 runs with a bat. His time should come at some point and that may arrive on Tuesday. The Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard failed with a bat in both innings that he played. He was a part of the XI on Saturday, but he did not get a chance with a ball or even with a bat. Still he is expected to be in the XI based on his caliber in T20 cricket. Middle-order batsman from Bangladesh Mosaddek Hossain has played all three matches but he yet to showcase his batting and bowling skills for Dynamites in the season. He will keep his place in the team once again on Tuesday.

Magical spinner Sunil Narine was bit expensive in his spell of 2 for 32 against Titans. But the destructive spinner came with a dominating performances in the last game and claimed 3 for 10 runs in 4 long overs. As he emerged as an all-rounder, expecting him to open the innings at some point in the tournament. Domestic player Jahurul Islam did the wicket-keeper’s duties on Saturday. As Sangakkara is expected to sit again, Jahurul will keep the wickets on Tuesday as well. The star-studded top and middle-order push domestic players to bat at lower-order. As Dynamites has strong overseas spin attack, they prefers to play with domestic pace attack. The trio of Mohammad Shahid, Abu Hider Rony and Khaled Ahmed does a good job for Dynamites in the last two matches. Shahid is the most experienced bowler among the three and he is the key player too. Abu Hider picked a tally of 5 wickets in last two matches. He dominated in the game against Titans with his spell of 3 for 13 and also claimed 2 for 23 against Sixers in the last game. With that brilliant all around show in the last game, Dhaka Dynamites is expected to play with an unchanged XI.

Just like Dhaka Dynamites, Khulna Titans also started their with a defeat but came back strongly with 2 consecutive wins. Mahmudullah led Khulna Titans lost the first game by 65 runs against their opponent for Tuesday, Dhaka Dynamites. Titans had a strong bowling unit last year, but it did not work well for them in their first game of this season. Bowlers went too expensive and that costs a match for Titans. Mahmudullah and his men learnt from their mistakes quickly and registered back-to-back wins with their impressive bowling show. Wicket keeper cum opener Chadwick Walton managed to score quick 30 runs in the first game. Since that he scored only 16 runs in last two innings. His opening partner Nazmul Hossain Shanto yet to score in double-digits. His scores were 5, 7 and 9 runs respectively. With that poor performances Nazmul Hossain will possibly make a way for Dhiman Ghosh. Some sort of chances for Walton to be dropped too. If Walton drops, Dhiman will keep the wicket and all rounders Benny Howell or Seekkuge Prasanna would take Walton’s place in the XI. If those chances are happening, veteran batsman Michael Klinger will be back to his favorite opening position who currently bats at no. 3.

Rilee Rossouw used to play decent innings, but he yet to play match winning knock for Titans. He will get one more chance in this game and he is in the urgency of playing a big innings. After very average display in the first game, Mahmudullah came with match winning all-round performance in the very next game. He also batted well in the last game against Vikings. He is the must pick player from Titans and hopes for another player of the match kind of performances from him on Tuesday. Bangladeshi all-rounder Ariful Haque did not get much of opportunities in the first two games. Finally he got a chance in the last game and he smashed 40 off 25 balls with 4 sixes. He may be move from no. 6 to the opening position. West Indies T20 Captain Carlos Brathwaite had back-to-back good matches where he shined with both bat and bowl. He scored quick-fire 23 and 30 runs with a bat respectively and also bowled an economical overs in both matches. He had a threat of making way for other overseas players in the squad but his recent performance will hold his place in the XI on Tuesday. The young all-rounder Jofra Archer continue his good performances. He did a good job with ball and claimed a tally of 4 wickets in 3 innings. He played a fighting knock of 36 off 24 against Dynamites and also scored 11 not out off 4 balls in the last innings. He might play one more key role in this game for Titans.

Spinner Mosharraf Hossain used to bowl one over spell in first two matches. Then he bowled wicket-less three overs spell in the last game. As he did a good job for Titans last year, he will hold his place again in the XI. The pacers Shafiul Islam and Abu Jayed are offering a good performances for the team. Abu Jayed has a tally of 6 wickets in 3 innings, his spell of 4 for 35 in the last game presented him a player of the match award. Shafiul bowled the expensive spell of 2 for 41 in the first game. Since then he bowled well controlled spells and picked 2 for 44 in 8 overs in the last two games. South African pacer Kyle Abbott, England all-rounder Benny Howell, West Indies wicket keeper Nicholas Pooran and Sri Lanka’s Seekkuge Prasanna are awaiting for their opportunities. Hopefully, at least one among them will get a chance in the XI on Tuesday.
