Squads announced for South Africa vs Bangladesh T20I series!

As Test and ODI series were over, two match T20I series between South Africa vs Bangladesh all set to begin on coming Thursday. South Africa captain Faf du Plessis has been ruled out for T20I series after faced injury in the last ODI on Sunday. Bangladesh will play under the captaincy of all-rounder Shakib al Hasan.



The dominating forces at home South Africa clinched both test and ODI series with clean-sweeps. Now ready to dominate in the upcoming T20I series. On the absence of captain Faf du Plessis, other experienced player JP Duminy will lead the team in this two match series. The all rounder Dwaine Pretorius has named as a replacement for Faf du Plessis.

After rested for the last ODI, Hashim Amla is back in the squad. Wicket keeper Quinton de Kock will accompany Amla at the top-order. Star Batsman AB de Villiers who was in stunning form in ODI series, will play another huge role in this short series. Duminy has an experiences of leading T20 team with the IPL tournament and he needs to bring all his captaincy experiences to assure other clean-sweep. David Miller and Farhaan Behardien are other important middle-order batsmen named in the squad. The famous all rounder in South Africa’ domestic circuit, Robbie Frylinck has named in the national squad for the first time and the power-hitter is awaiting to make his debut on the series.

South Africa rested their prime pacer Kagiso Rabada and the ace spinner Imran Tahir for this series. Pacer Beuran Hendricks called up to the squad along with left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso. Tabraiz Shamsi is other left-arm spin bowler in the squad of South Africa. After an impressive performances in the recently concluded ODI series, Dane Paterson and Andile Phehlukwayo looks confident ahead of T20Is.

Bangladesh Cricket Board named 14-men squad for this two match T20I series. The star all rounder Shakib al Hasan will lead the team in the shorter format. The most experienced top-order batsman Tamim Iqbal and major pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman are not available for the series as both of them returned home due to an respective injuries.

With out Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh in need to play with batting unit of Soumya Sarkar, Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque and Litton Das. Bangladesh team is in a position to prove a point after lost all three ODIs in huge manner. Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim will take care of gloves work once again and he is main strength of Bangladesh batting in middle-order. Batting all rounders Sabbir Rahman and Nasir Hossain retained their places in the squad. Both of them had an average series in the ODIs.

All-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad struggled to shine in the ODIs, now he has an opportunity to do well in T20Is. Teenager Mehidy Hasan shown impressive performance in the last ODI, he may shine in T20Is as well. On the absence of Mustafizur, it’s Rubel Hossain duty to lead the pace attack of Bangladesh which contains Taskin Ahmed, Shafiul Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin.
