The team at second place in the on-going Karnataka Premier League season points table, Belagavi Panthers is all set for a clash against Bellary Tuskers on Tuesday. Bellary Tuskers are at second bottom of the table with 3 points. This is going to an interesting encounter as both teams needs 2 points to steady their stay in the competition. Match 14 between Belagavi Panthers vs Bellary Tuskers scheduled to start at 7 PM IST on Tuesday, 12th September 2017.



After losing the season opener to Hubli Tigers, Belagavi Panthers came back strongly with back-to-back wins on last Friday and Saturday respectively. They won both of those matches in big margin of 23 runs and 30 runs. The all rounder Stuart Binny’s back-to-back firing half-centuries helped the team to get those wins. Among the batting unit, top order not in good form, but the middle-order batsmen helps the side to post good total on the board. The bowlers defended the target very well in both occasions and confirmed the victories for their team. Mir Kaunain Abbas was dropped in the last match, but he is expected to be back in the XI and also expected to open the innings along with BR Sharath. The wicket keeper cum opener Sharath is yet to play good knock in the season, but based on his experiences will keep his place safe in the XI. The big boost was Manish Pandey joined the squad and played the last game. He will move to Team India later this week, but expected to be a part of this game before leave for national duties. Shashindra was retired hurt in the last game when he scored 19 off 23 balls. If he is not fit to play, he will make a way for Kaunain Abbas.

Stuart Binny shined with both bat and bowl in last 2 matches. He scored 139 runs and also claimed 4 wickets in last 2 matches. That stunning form expected to be continue and he will give you lot of fantasy points once that happens. S Rakshith batted so well and played 2 crucial handy knocks at no. 6 in the batting order. He could possibly come with another good performances in this game. KN Bharath handles the wicket keeper’s job. He may bat at lower middle-order. Krishnappa Gowtham, the all rounder did not play last 2 matches. If he back in the XI, he could join the party with his all round performances. Captain Sreenath Aravind leads the team and as well as the pace bowling attack. He continuously bowls an economical spells and also claims wickets at right time. Kishore Kamat has played two crucial knocks in end overs and scored 22 runs (7 balls) and 24 runs (15 balls) respectively. He also bowls well and claimed 4 for 26 against Blasters. Darshan Machaiah, the young bowler made his KPL debut in the last game and an impressed with 2 for 17 in his 4 overs spell. He will get another chance on Tuesday.



After an abandoned opening match, Bellary Tuskers lost the game to Bijapur Bulls by just 4 runs. In the last game, the defending champions came back with their first win off the season when they defeated Mysuru Warriors by 5 wickets. Tuskers openers Rohan Kadam and KB Pawan are yet to play a good knock in this season. In last season these openers played a big role in Tuskers title winning season. The captain Amit Verma bats at no. 3 and plays a big role in Tuskers batting order. The all rounder also picks wickets at crucial stage of the game. He is a must pick player in Tuskers line up. KL Rahul was with Team India in Sri Lanka. As his next assignment starts only on coming Sunday, some chances for him to play this game and take it as a good practice ahead of Australia series. But chances are 50/50. Kunal Kapoor was one of the pillar of Tuskers batting order. But he failed in both matches and scored only 7 runs in this season. He will make a way for KL Rahul, if he available for this game or else Kunal will keep his place in the XI.

The wicket keeper, CM Gautham played back-to-back knocks for Tuskers. He scored 50 and 45* runs respectively. He is expected to play another good knock in this game as well. Abhinav Manohar is the other middle-order batsman who shined in both innings. The hard-hitting batsman scored 35 runs and 47 runs respectively at an average strike rate of 195. He deserves a place up in the batting order and also deserves a place in your fantasy teams. The key spinner IG Anil is well experienced and he is expected to play crucial role in Tuskers bowling attack in this game. The left arm bowler Zahoor Faroqui picked 4 wickets in 2 matches, but he needs to bowl economical spells. Pacer Prateek Jain has huge responsibilities on his shoulders, but he conceded 50 runs in his 4 overs spell against Bulls. Then came back nicely and picked 1 for 26 against Warriors in the last game. Bhavesh Gulecha will play a crucial role with bowl in the middle-overs. He bowled an economical spells in both matches which turned the match into the favor of Tuskers.
