Second Season of Tamil Nadu Premier League hosts 24th league match between Karaikudi Kaalai vs Ruby Trichy Warriors on Friday, 11th August 2017. As lost 4 out of 5 matches, Ruby Trichy Warriors are not in contention to qualify for Play-offs. But Karaikudi Kaalai needs must win to keep their Play-offs chances alive, so it becomes much important game for Kaalai. Match scheduled to start at 7:15 PM IST on 11th August.

This is the last league match for Karaikudi Kaalai and they have won 3 and lost 3 in their 6 matches so far. Kaalai equals VB Thiruvallur Veerans with 6 points but poor net run rate of -0.047 made them to sit below Veerans in the points table. Srikkanth Anirudha played a major role in Kaalai’s batting order, unfortunately he was sit out for last two matches due to injuries it seems. If he returns to the XI, it will give a positive energy to the team. Vishal Vaidhya doing a good job as an opener, he scored 137 runs in 5 innings. Hope for some good start from him in this game as well. Lokeshwar scored 48 runs against Super Gillies at top of the order, but he came to bat at no. 8 in the last game. Guess that he will go back to opening slot if Srikkanth Anirudha is still not available. Captain Badrinath’s poor performances continues all through the season. 50/50 chances for him to shine in this must win game of Kaalai.

Rajhamany Srinivasan scored only 47 runs in 6 innings, chances are high for him to drop for this game. M Vijay Kumar has played only one game in the season, he may return to the XI on the expenses of Srinivasan. M Shajahan steadies Kaalai’s batting in the middle-order with his must needed cameos. He is one of the key player from Kaalai, keep him in your team. All rounder Chandrasekar Ganapathy is the regular member in the XI, but he has very average season this year. He concedes lot of runs and also struggles to score runs in the middle-order. V Aditya, new comer in the squad played in the last game. He will get an another chance on Friday. Sunil Sam was rested in the last match against Dragons. He is expected to be back in the XI in place of Sonu Yadav. Suresh Babu bowled well in last few matches. He will keep his place safe in the XI. Mohan Prasath, the young spinner picked 4 wickets in the last game and he was the game changer for Kaalai on that day. He claimed total of 9 wickets in the season and he deserves a place in all fantasy teams.

The Trichy based franchise having a poor season this year. They have lost 4 out of 5 matches till now and as only 2 matches are left to play, Ruby Trichy Warriors’ play-off chances already closed. Warriors defeated Madurai Super Giant by 2 runs, otherwise they lost all other matches due to an inconsistency. The openers captain Baba Indrajith and Bharath Shankar provides good start in almost every occasion. But middle-order collapses and poor bowling efforts caused them those matches. Skipper Baba Indrajith has scored 185 runs in 5 matches, with an highest score of 70. He played 30+ runs knocks in 4 innings and he used to give strong start for his team. He possibly play another handy innings in this clash against Kaalai. Indrajith’s opening partner Bharath Shankar scored 153 runs in 5 innings. He gives good company to his captain and help the side with solid opening stand.

The all rounder Akkil Srinaath was promoted to no. 3 in the batting order on Wednesday night. He scored 23 off 14 balls which includes 2 huge sixes. He picked 4 wickets against Super Giant and that was the only wicket taking spell of him in 5 matches. Nilesh Subramanian had lot of expectations before the tournament kicks-off, but he struggles to score runs. He scores under strike rate of 100 most of the time. Adithya Giridhar and Adithya Ganesh plays in the middle-order and both of them in an hurry to score runs in this fixture. All rounder Jagadeesan Kousik struggled with both bat and bowl. He used to bat in the middle-order generally and bowls medium fast bowling. Kannan Vignesh uses to bowl economical spells. Murthy Prabhu also bowls decent spells for Warriors. Rajamani Jesuraj has important role to play in this game.
