Teams from north group, Leicestershire Foxes and Nottinghamshire Outlaws face-off in a battle in today’s Natwest T20 Blast match. The home side Foxes has 8 points in 8 matches while Outlaws earned 9 points in 8 matches. The winning team will move up in the points table. Match between Leicestershire Foxes vs Nottinghamshire Outlaws is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM Local | 11 PM IST on Wednesday, 2nd August 2017.

Leicestershire team has won 4 matches out of 8 and sits at no. 7 in north group points table at the moment. If they beat Outlaws tonight, they will move to 5 in the table. Foxes started the season with 4 consecutive wins, but the things turned out quickly. Then they faced 4 consecutive losses in last 4 matches. As they looks to be back in winning ways, this match is going to an important one for Clint McKay and his team. Luke Ronchi and Cameron Delport are the openers for Foxes this season. Ronchi plays better and scores plenty of runs in the top order. He smashed 21 balls 63 runs against Durham last week. He is quite hard-hitting batsman and could give you lot of points. Delport was not an impressive in last few matches and dismissed for cheap runs. But he done the job so many times in the past and that would keep his place safe in the side.

Mark Cosgrove and Colin Ackermann bats at no. 3 and 4 for Foxes. Both of them has scored some useful runs for the team, but they were not impressive in last few matches. Hope for them to be back in form and score runs in this big match. Mark Pettini is not named in the squad, that means one change from the last match is assured. Ned Eckersley has chances to be back in the side. Aadil Ali and Tom Wells would keep their places in the middle-order. Captain of the team, Clint McKay missed out last few matches. Now he is back in the squad and he will replaces either Mathew Pillans or Gavin Griffths. Both of them were expensive in last few matches. McKay’s come back would be big boost for the team and his experiences work out well for Foxes. Callum Parkinson was quite impressive in first few matches. But he was not handled well in last 2 matches. He bowled only 3 overs in those matches. Probably he will get back full quota of overs, that means he will give you points with his wicket taking skills. Dieter Klein picked 5 wickets in his last 3 appearances and he also bowls some controlled spells. He may play crucial role in today’s game.

After played 8 matches, Outlaws registered 4 wins and 3 losses. Match against Lancashire ended in no result. They has 9 points right now and win from here will take them to top 2 or 3 in the points table. The strong batting order of Outlaws are their big boost. Nottinghamshire Outlaws ended just 13 runs short while chasing big target of 209 against Worcestershire. Then they back so well in the last game and chased down mammoth target of 225 runs successfully. Alex Hales smashed century in that game and he also scored 63 runs against Worcestershire. Hales runs fest expected to continue in this game against Foxes. His partner Rikki Wessels also bats well and he scored 48, 49 and 34 runs respectively in last 3 innings. Keep both of them in your team to get assure points.

The experienced Zimbabwean Brendon Taylor bats at no. 3 in last few matches. He scores useful runs at that position, he may play another handy knock in this game. All rounder Samit Patel is expected to play big role in this clash against Foxes. He is one of the match winner in the side, but with bat he did not play big knocks yet. At same time he dominates with his bowling skills. Captain Daniel Christian also has crucial role to play, he could possibly bowl key spell. Luke Wood was dropped in the last game after his expensive spell against Worcestershire. He has chances to be back in the side as Billy Root not needed when the batting looks strong. Jake Ball, Steven Mullaney and Harry Gurney will keep their places in the team. Sometimes they bowls expensive spells, but they deserves the place in the XI and they are the regular bowlers of Outlaws. New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi bowled too expensive spells in last two matches. Hope for him to be back with wicket taking spell and provides lot of points.
