Outlaws finished at top of the points table in North Group with 18 points and they had a better Net Run Rate +0.484 among other teams in the group. Nottinghamshire won 5 matches in a row before lost their last group match on last Friday. Outlaws are one of the well balancing side in the tournament and they named 14 member squad for this game. All XI players who were part of last several matches, named in the 14-men squad. That makes us to believe chances are quite high for them to play with an unchanged XI on Thursday night. The experienced power-hitters Alex Hales and Riki Wessels opens an innings for Outlaws. Both played lot of match winning knocks for Outlaws this season, but struggled a bit in last few matches. As playing at home, chances are high for both the openers to shine with big knocks in this game. Wicket keeper Tom Moores and Brendan Taylor bats at no. 3 and 4 respectively. Brendan Taylor is well experienced veteran and he played several good knocks in the season. Lot of expectations on him ahead of this quarter-final game. The talented all rounder Samit Patel shines in each game with both bat and bowl. He used to play quick and big knocks with bat and also used to bowl economical cum wicket taking spells quite often. He deserves a place in every fantasy team without a doubt. The experienced veteran Australian Daniel Christian is the captain of Outlaws and he does his part well as an individual and also as a captain. He scored 73 runs of 32 balls in the last game and also picks wicket regularly. Steven Mullaney is the other effective all rounder in Outlaws side. Mullaney didn’t perform well in last few matches, but he could be back in form on Thursday. Billy Root got a regular place in the XI for last few games and he justifies by scoring quick runs in end overs. Jake Ball and Harry Gurney are the front-line pacers of Outlaws. Both of them are strike bowlers and pick wickets at good economy rate. New Zealand’s leggie Ish Sodhi is the specialist spinner in the team and does his role well by picking crucial wickets in middle-overs. All these players deserves a place in the side, mostly they will play with an unchanged XI only.

Somerset is the only team who qualified for Quarter-Final with less wins of 6 out of 14 matches. They qualified as fourth team from the south group with 6 wins and 14 points. The big 98 runs victory in the last group match is the biggest motivate thing for Somerset players at the moment. That big win came after losing several matches in a row. Somerset plays under the captaincy of Jim Allenby. Somerset named 16-member squad for this big match. The wicket keeper Steven Davies opens the innings along with his captain Jim Allenby. Davies has back-to-back duck outs in last 2 innings. This is going to be an huge opportunity for Davies to shine at big stage. Jim Allenby also failed to score runs in various matches. When facing the strong Outlaws, the openers has huge task ahead of them. Johann Myburgh plays a huge role at no. 3 in the batting order. He scored big half-centuries in last 2 innings and scored 87 and 58 runs in those innings. He is the match changer of Somerset at the moment. The all rounder Peter Trego played a big knock in the last match, scored 84 off 50 balls. He came back to the side after missing few matches and scored a big runs. He is trustable all rounder in Somerset side. Lewis Gregory is the other big impact all rounder in Somerset. He bowls well and picks wicket in regular basis.
