No. 1 Test All Rounder and Bowler is India’s Ravindra Jadeja!

The all rounder from India, Ravindra Jadeja shown a fine all round performances against Sri Lanka in the second test overtaken Shakib Al Hasan to reach the top spot in the ICC Test Rankings for all-rounders. Jadeja is also leads the ICC Test Ranking for bowlers. The latest test player rankings released on August 8.

Jadeja is the leading wicket-taker in the on-going test series against Sri Lanka with 13 wickets and he also scored 85 runs, with a highest score of 70* in the second test at SSC, Colombo.

Moeen Ali, England all rounder has shown a fine all round display in the recently concluded four match test series against South Africa. He claimed total of 25 wickets and also struck 252 runs in the series. He finished as highest wicket-taker with those 25 wickets and becoming the first player to score 250 runs and picks 25 scalps in four match test series. With those performances Moeen retained his 4th place in the all rounders rankings for Test format.

Bangladesh star all rounder Shakib Al Hasan moved one spot down to second place. He has 431 points which is 7 points below than Jadeja points. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin remains at no. 3 spot with 418 points while England’s Ben Stokes is at no. 5 with 360 points.

James Anderson, the experienced pacer from England took 20 wickets in the series against South Africa which moved him up in the chart to second place. He replaced Ravichandran Ashwin at that spot with his come back performances against South Africa. Ashwin is at no. 3 with 842 points which is 18 points lesser than James Anderson.

Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood currently at no. 4 in the test bowlers ranking with 826 followed by Sri Lankan veteran Rangana Herath. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander are inside top 10 rankings. Rabada holding his place at 6th spot while Steyn and Philander are at no. 8 and 9 respectively. Stuart Broad, English paceman is at no. 7 and New Zealand’s Neil Wagner is at no. 10 with 745 points.

Indian test specialist batsman Cheteshwar Pujara moved to no. 3 spot with two centuries that he scored in first two tests against Sri Lanka recently. He climbed up one place from 4 to 3 while Ajinkya Rahane came inside top 10, by moving 5 spots up he is at no. 6 in the Test Batsmen rankings. Rahane smashed one fifty and one century against Sri Lanka which helped him to move up in the rankings.

Captain of Australia, Steven Smith holds his top place with 941 points followed by England’s new test captain Joe Root who has 891 points. Pujara is just 3 points shorter than Joe Root at the moment. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson is at no. 4 with 880 points. Virat Kohli, the Indian captain is at fifth place and his team-mate Rahane is at no. 6.

Wicket keeper from England, Jonny Bairstow has 772 points to his credits and sits at no. 7. Pakistan’s Azhar Ali, South Africa’s Hashim Amla and Australia’s David Warner are the other batsmen in the top 10 list of ICC Test Batsmen Rankings.

Team India keeps their no. 1 position in team rankings after taking lead of 2-0 against Sri Lanka in away series. South Africa is at no. 2 in the rankings with 110 points. England and Australia are at no. 3 and 4 respectively.
