The exciting and entertaining season of Caribbean Premier League 2017 hosts final four league matches in next four days. Barbados Tridents hosts three out of remaining four matches and they requires to win all remaining matches to stay in the contest. The visitors for this match, St Lucia Stars has lost 8 matches and the other match ended in no result. This is last and final chance for Stars to conclude the season with win and 2 points. 27th Match between Barbados Tridents vs St Lucia Stars scheduled to start at 7:59 PM Local | 5:29 AM IST (Friday) on Thursday, 31st August 2017.

The home Barbados Tridents faced the huge defeat against Guyana Amazon Warriors in the last game on Tuesday. Tridents bowled out for just 59 runs and lost the game by 99 runs. That loss puts Tridents in must win situation of all 3 remaining matches and needs to win in big way. Kieron Pollard and his men does not have much of time to re-group as they have 3 matches to play in next 4 days. Tridents has only 2 wins after played 7 matches and now they have 4 losses in a row. Kane Williamson and Dwayne Smith are the openers of Tridents. Williamson struggled almost in each innings to score runs at good strike rate. He is one of the best of the generation and he could possibly come with big score in this game. Dwayne Smith plays some good innings and fails in some matches. Both these openers are key players and needs to be in your team. Eoin Morgan joined Tridents squad and dismissed for golden duck on his debut. He is well experienced T20 batsman and that could help him to score runs in this game. Captain Kieron Pollard had one bad game on Tuesday, otherwise he shown many impressive performances in the season. He deserves a place in all fantasy lineups. If Shoaib Malik is available for this game, he will come into the XI to strengthen the middle-order. Wicket keeper Nicholas Pooran’s average season continues. He is yet to play big knock in the season. The young hard-hitter may play an impressive knock against Stars. Akeal Hossain and Imran Khan bowled very good spells against Amazon Warriors. They shared 3 wickets among them in that game and bowled under 5 runs per over. Wayne Parnell, Wahab Riaz and Ravi Rampaul are the pacers play major roles in Tridents bowling attack. Except Parnell, other two bowled expensive spells other day. If these three go through deep against Stars, Tridents will win the game nicely.

The most disappointed team is St Lucia Stars who yet to register a win in the season. After facing series of losses, Darren Sammy handed over the captaincy to Shane Watson. But still nothing gone on their way as they lost 8 games out of 9 and the other one ended in no result. Stars has plenty of talented and experienced players in their unit, but none of them stood up and provided consistent performances. Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher are the regular openers of Stars. Charles had poor outings throughout the season. He moved to five in the order in the last game and scored 20 runs. He has chances to be back at top of the order and possibly score big runs this time. Fletcher played few good knocks, but yet to play match winning knocks. Finally Shane Watson came with big innings of 80 runs off 45 balls in the last match against Tallawahs. He may play another good knock in this last game of Stars. The experienced Marlon Samuels also struggled to score runs in almost each innings. He is also in poor form at the moment. Former Captain Darren Sammy scored one half-century in this season, otherwise he struggled to score runs as well. He claimed only 1 wicket in 4 innings. All rounders Kyle Mayers and Rakeem Cornwell bowled well in last game. Cornwell opened the innings in last match, but dismissed for just 7 runs. Shane Shillingford and Jerome Taylor are frontline pacers of St Lucia Stars. Both of them bowled well in initial few matches. But troubled to pick wickets in recent matches. After several poor spells, Mitchell McClenaghan dropped in the last game. He has chances to be back in the side for this last game of the season.
