Both the teams has four wins each, but Patriots are ahead of Tallawahs with one point as their last match ended in no result. Team whichever wins this game will take second place in the points table. Match 20 between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs Jamaica Tallawahs scheduled to begins at 6 PM Local | 3:30 AM IST (Tuesday) on Monday, 21st August 2017.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots who finished at bottom of the table with only two victories last year, playing some good cricket this year and holds second place in the points table at this stage of the tournament. They have played 6 matches, won 4 and lost 1. Their last match against St Lucia Stars was abandoned due to rain. So they have 9 points with good net run rate of +0.628. Pakistan stars Mohammad Hafeez and Hasan Ali left the squad for national duties. So Patriots made few changes in their lineup against Stars. Once the all rounder Chris Morris joins the squad, Patriots will get more power with overseas players. Both of their home matches were affected with rain in last few days and rain may affect this game as well.

T20 specialist Chris Gayle’s arrival changed the fortune of Patriots this year and he leads the team as well. Gayle joins hands with another power-hitter Evin Lewis to open the innings. Gayle has scored 135 runs in 5 innings with the high score of 66* against Amazon Warriors. He is expected to play key role in this game and Gayle storm is expected to arrive at Basseterre tonight. Evin Lewis had one good outing in 4 innings, he smashed 92 against Stars and dismissed for single digit scores in rest of the matches. Lots of expectations on him as he looking to find his form back quickly. Hopefully, some amazing shots would come from his bat on Monday night. Brandon Kings, the youngster gets continuous chances in the XI. He played good knock until now in the season, but the talented batsman could score big runs at any time. Shamarh Brooks replaced Mohammad Hafeez in the XI on Saturday. He scored 37 against Knight Riders, hope for some more runs from him in this game. Patriots middle-order filled with all rounders Mohammad Nabi, Carlos Brathwaite and Jonathan Carter. Carlos Brathwaite’s poor 2017 continuous as he leaks too many runs with bowl. He claimed 4 wickets in 6 innings and conceded over 9 runs per over in almost every match. He contributes some quick runs with the bat, but Patriots needs all round performances from him.

The Afghanistan all rounder Mohammad Nabi playing a good role for Partiots. He claimed 6 wickets in 5 innings and bowls an economical spells regularly. He did not get much of opportunities to bat, but scored quick runs whenever the chances came in his way. Jonathan Carter contributes some useful runs in the middle overs. Devon Thomas manages the gloves work for Patriots. He uses to bat at lower down the order, but contributes with some runs in end overs. Patriots played with spin heavy attack in the last game against Stars. Fabian Allen, the left-arm spinner replaced Hasan Ali and picked 1 for 24 in that abandoned game. If Chris Morris comes into the XI, Fabian Allen would be a first person to make a way for him. The leg-spinner Samuel Badree and left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi are playing big roles in Patriots bowling unit. The experienced Samuel Badree claimed 6 wickets so far and also bowls decent spells for Patriots. Shamsi used to bowl bit expensive spells, he did well in the past seasons of CPL, hopefully some good performances will come from him on Monday night. Fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell has chances to get a game against Tallawahs.

The defending champs Jamaica Tallawahs started their title defending season with the defeat against Tridents. But they woke up quickly and registered 4 victories in a row and stands at no. 3 in the points table with 8 points. The veteran Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara leads Tallawahs in this year competition and he led from the front as an example. Well mixed of batting and bowling unit helped Tallawahs to win 4 matches in a row. After Shakib al Hasan left to Bangladesh, Sangakkara moved himself down to 4 in the batting order. Lendl Simmons opened the batting with Glenn Phillips. The same opening combination will open the innings once again for Tallawahs on Monday night. After batted well in first three innings, Lendl Simmons struggled to score in last two innings. He is well experienced opener, he could play big knock at any time. So, expecting some good knock from him in this game. The 20-years old Glenn Phillips contributed with scores of 32 and 51 runs respectively in his first two CPL innings. He is expected to fulfill the expectations with another good performances on Monday night.

Andre McCarthy bats at no. 3 for Tallawahs. He smashed two half-centuries already in 5 innings, his high score was 61* against Stars. Another half-century plus scores are possible for McCarthy in this game. Keep him in your mind while picking your fantasy teams. Captain Kumar Sangakkara keeps the wickets too after very long time in T20 cricket. He has scored only 77 runs in 5 innings, with high score 47. He leads the team well, but the team wants him to score as an individual. Hopefully that will happen with this game. Tallawahs middle-order filled with batting all rounder Rovman Powell, Jonathan Foo and Imad Wasim. Rovman had a dream debut season last year, but he struggles in this season. He scored only 44 runs in 5 innings with bat and picked 2 wickets against Stars. He is well capable all rounder, hope for lot mature performances from him against Patriots. Jonathan Foo used to score some useful runs in the end overs. He plays little cameos with quick scoring, guess that will continue in this game as well. Imad Wasim has claimed only 4 wickets in 5 innings and remained wicket-less in last two matches. But, he used to bowl an economical spells quite often for Tallawahs. He is a key all rounder who could play useful knocks with bat too.

Tallawahs signed Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah recently, but his availability for this game is not confirmed yet. Tallawahs plays with Kesrick Williams and Mohammad Sami as a main pacers. Both are doing a good job for the team. Kesrick is the wicket taking machine of Tallawahs, he picked total of 11 wickets in 5 innings and he is the most wanted bowler in this game for Tallawahs. Sami also done his part well by doing supporting role with good economical spells. He claimed 8 wickets with the best spell of 4 for 12 against Tridents. Garey Mathurin and Krishmar Santokie are the other bowlers who played in the last game. Both of them bowled decent spells and expecting to keep their places safe for this game. Odean Smith played few games, he picked 3 for 20 against Knight Riders. He has chances to make his return to the XI. In that case Mathurin might make a way for him. Also Jon-Russ Jaggesar is in the squad who bowled impressively in last year. He may get a chance at some point of the tournament.
