India skipper Virat Kohli reinstated his No. 1 rankings in ICC T20 batsmen’s rankings, while India’s young pacer Jasprit Bumrah roses to the second position in bowlers’ rankings. Meanwhile, there is hardly any change in the all-rounder’s list which is led by Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is at the second position.
Pakistan players have also been benefitted from their maiden ICC Champions Trophy victory. Spinner Imad Wasim is the new No.1 bowler in T20 cricket which was updated following England 2-1 T20 series victory over South Africa.
At the same time, South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir demoted to the third position from the No.1 slot as he managed just two wickets in the just concluded T20 series against England.
In the batting list, followed by Kohli, Australia’s Aaron Finch and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson have grabbed the second and third positions.
Among the batsmen South Africa skipper AB de Villiers and England opener Jason Roy were the biggest movers as they have been benefited from the just concluded series.
De Villers, who was the highest run-scorer in the T20 series against England, has found himself in the 20th position. His last T20 batting rank was 32. At the same time, Jason Roy scored 103 runs which has helped him to grab his career best position 25.
Meanwhile, in team rankings, New Zealand are on top of the table with 125 ratings while Pakistan are in the second position with 121 rating points. The third and fourth positions are occupied by England and India respectively.
However, South Africa have dropped one point to join Australia on 110 points at the sixth position while West Indies are at a fifth position with 114 rating points.
With all teams will play bilateral series which will feature at least one T20 match the team rankings and players rankings tables will see changes in near future.
