ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE :

With eight losses in eleven matches, one of the favorite team of IPL competition Royal Challengers Bangalore are the first team who already confirmed the elimination in the season. Now they would look to win the remaining matches for their pride and finishes the season with some confident marks. Captain Virat Kohli and his team has chances to overshadowed the other teams chances in the playoffs. RCB dropped out-of-form Chris Gayle in the past 2 matches. His replacement Travis Head also failed to perform in both of those games. That means, Gayle has a chance to make a return in these last few games and entertain the Bangalore crowd. Virat Kohli looks disappointed after his teams failure in the season, but the world class batsman would look for big innings on Friday.

AB de Villiers who disappointed with continues failures in multiple occasions finally scored some runs in the last game against Mumbai Indians on Monday. He scored 43 runs in 27 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. RCB needs a big innings from the South African captain on Friday night. Mandeep Singh found a chance to be in the XI again and he opened the innings along with Kohli in the last match. He started well this time and scored 17 off 13 balls, but failed to convert that into big scores. Wicket Keeper batsman Kedar Jadhav continued his good job in the middle order against MI by scored 28 runs in 22 balls. But, RCB needs much better knocks from him in the remaining few matches and hopefully he will live up to the expectation.

All rounder Shane Watson who missed out last few matches found a place in last match. But he was not impressive with both bat and bowl. He batted at no. 6 in that game and managed to score only 3 runs. With bowl, he picked a wicket for 28 runs in 4 overs. He bowled somehow better than his previous performances, but he should bowl much better against KXIP. Bowling all rounder Pawan Negi was the performer of the day for RCB other night, where he shown his all round performances. Negi batted well and scored 35 runs in 23 balls (1 four and 3 sixes), he also bowled well in his 4 overs spell and picked 2 for 17 runs. He done well with bowl in the last few matches for RCB and he needs to continue the good show. Yuzvendra Chahal, the wicket taker of RCB gone expensive and also struggled to pick more wickets in past few matches. That was continued against MI too. RCB played with Sreenath Aravind, Aniket Choudhary and Adam Milne in the pace bowling department. Among three of them Aniket was the one who bowled better and finished with 1 for 32 in 4 overs. Adam Milne conceded 29 runs in his 2 overs. Another seamer Aravind also bowled at over 10 runs per over. Milne might make a way for Samuel Badree or Tymal Mills on Friday.

KINGS XI PUNJAB :

An overwhelming victory on other night makes Kings XI Punjab’s playoff chances brighter, but the Punjab team needs to win 4 out of 5 matches in next 10 days of time. Glenn Maxwell and men registered the first ever 10 wickets victory in IPL History for KXIP, in the match against Delhi Daredevils on last weekend. Bowled the opposition out for only 67 runs, brought back KXIP bowlers into the form and giving lot of confidence to them. Those bowling efforts made the way easy for the batsmen and the openers done the job for the side in a style. KXIP side brought back Hashim Amla and their lucky charm T Natarajan in the last game against DD.

Martin Guptill who started his IPL campaign with 23 off 11 balls, scored unbeaten 50 runs in just 27 balls in his 2nd match of the season. His partner Hashim Amla who already scored an IPL century in the tournament supported Guptill the other day with 16 off 20 balls. As the openers completed the chase for KXIP, captain Maxwell and others did not get chance to bat in that game. But in the past matches, Shaun Marsh has shown lot of characters at no. 3. As Manan Vohra is also in the side, Marsh might bat at no. 4 against RCB. Manan Vohra struggling to score runs after that great performances against SRH two weeks ago. He needs to find his form quickly and needs to help the side to win more matches. Captain Maxwell used to bowl in last 2 matches, he bowled well in both occasions. Especially in the game against DD, Maxwell came with brilliant spell of 1 for 12 runs in his 4 overs. He might continue to bowl in upcoming matches too. Also, he needs to continue his good show with bat on Friday.

Sandeep Sharma, finally found a way to take wickets and gave a dream start for his team with his spell in power play overs. He done a great job and took 4 wickets for just 20 run in 4 overs. After that match winning performances, team looks for similar performances from him on Friday. Left arm spinner Axar Patel also bowled well in that game against DD. He used to bowl well in almost every match for KXIP, especially in the last game he bowled 4 overs and picked 2 for 22. Seam bowler Varun Aaron came back to the XI with the strong performance, where he picked 2 for 3 runs in 2 overs. That performances would keep his place safe in the XI on Friday. Mohit Sharma and T Natarajan also done so good with bowl in that game. The unchanged XI are expected from KXIP squad on Friday, unless there is any injury concern on the match day.
