Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru hosts the game between the home team Royal Challengers Bangalore and the neighboring visitors Sunrisers Hyderabad. 29th match of this year’s IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad is scheduled to begin at 8 PM IST | 2:30 PM GMT on Tuesday, 25th April 2017.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE :

The poor season of Royal Challengers Bangalore continued on Sunday night, when they bowled out for 49 which was the lowest total in IPL history. Just before that match against KKR, RCB has registered a big win against Gujarat Lions on last Tuesday. In that game, RCB posted 213/2 in 20 overs and won that game by 21 runs margin. Everyone expected that RCB’s heavy batting unit going to crush KKR’s bowling in that 132 runs chase. But, unexpected things were happened and RCB bowled out for only 49 runs. None of their batsmen have scored runs in double digits, including Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. Captain Virat Kohli mentioned that was hurtful batting and time to move on with next 2 home matches. He also said that RCB will regain their form in those home matches. That’s what the team which is at bottom of the table right now has to do.

RCB might had poor IPL Seasons in the past, but this year they looks in bad form and lack of confidence. They faced 4 losses in first 5 matches, then came with big performances against Gujarat Lions last week. Suddenly turned into performances like that on Sunday night. As only 7 matches are left to play for them, Kohli and his men in a situation to approach each and every matches as do or die. About the recent performances of the players, Virat Kohli who missed first 3 matches has scored 2 half-centuries in 4 innings that he played. On Sunday, he caught out for golden duck in very first over. As focus shifts to Bengaluru, VK has big role to play in a game against SRH on Tuesday. Chris Gayle played an fantastic innings against Gujarat Lions for the first time in this season. Then he struggled to score runs vs KKR on Sunday. He needs to play big innings and bring a storm to Bengalaru or else the Universe Boss will be overshadowed by other players. AB de Villiers started his IPL campaign with an amazing 89 runs against KXIP two weeks ago. Since then, he started to struggle to score runs and managed to score 20 odd runs at strike rate of under 100. He managed to score only 8 runs against KKR on Sunday. ABD is one of the pillar of RCB and the team wants him to play his A game in remaining matches. Mandeep Singh’s batting position in the team is not stabilized yet. He used to open the innings, came at middle-order in few innings, came to bat no. 3 too. He almost failed in every batting position that he came in, it is time for RCB to move on with him and give chances to either Sachin Baby or Harpreet Singh who replaced injured Sarfraz Khan recently.

Kedar Jadhav manages a wicket-keeper role in this season and he was RCB’s batting hero in their first two matches. Then he failed to score runs in few innings. In the match against Lions, he came to back and smashed 38 off just 16 balls. On Sunday, lot of expectations were on him, but he failed and managed to score only single digit runs. Travis Head and Shane Watson – both were dropped in the game vs KKR along with pacer Adam Milne. Travis Head was in good touch against Lions, dropped him was one of the poor move on Sunday. Hopefully he comes back to the XI in place of Tymal Mills or Samuel Badree. Stuart Binny played some little cameo in early part of matches. He needs to play good knock with bat and also support the team with his part-time bowling in the game against Sunrisers. Pawan Negi, the bowling all rounder done a good job in last 2 matches with a bowl. He bowled well against Lions and picked a wicket for 21 runs in 4 overs spell. On Sunday, he bowled much better and picked 2 for 15 in 3 overs. He needs to perform well with batting too. His spin partner Yuzvendra Chahal also bowled well for RCB on Sunday. The wicket taking bowler of RCB, Chahal picked 3 for 16 in his 4 overs spell. Samuel Badree who took hat-trick of wickets 10 days ago, bowled bit expensive spell against KKR. Tymal Mills was back in the side after dropped for 2 matches. He picked 2 for 31 in 4 overs spell. Sreenath Aravind bowled too expensive spell against Lions, then he bowled somehow better against KKR and picked 1 for 27 in his spell. Either Badree or Mills would make a way for Travis Head on Tuesday.

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD :

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s worries continuing in away matches. They have won 4 matches and all four of those came at their home matches. Sunrisers has played 7 matches so far, with 4 wins and 3 losses – they are not no. 3 in the points table right now. But, the losses in away matches gives them a worry, they have lost all 3 away matches that they played till now. They faces RCB in their next match on Tuesday and that match is 4th away match for SRH. David Warner and his men lost their most recent match to RPS. They have good batting and bowling orders too, but the things are working fine at home matches, but goes in a wrong way in away matches.

David Warner the power-hitting opener and the captain of SRH, used to contribute for the team in every matches. He started slowly against KXIP and then picked up well in second half of SRH’s innings. He played once again with lot of defense against RPS on last Saturday. SRH needs their captain to play fearless innings and score lot of runs for them. Shikhar Dhawan played a brilliant knock against Daredevils few days back and made 30 runs against RPS on Sunday night. Kane Williamson who came to the XI for the first time against Daredevils scored 89 runs. He managed to score 21 runs against RPS on Sunday. Williamson could be a key factor for SRH against RCB on Tuesday. Yuvraj Singh rested for the last match vs RPS. He played a stunning knock of 62 off 27 balls in season opener against the same opposition, since then he is yet to score half-century in the season. Hopes for him to be back in XI for the game vs RCB. Moises Henriques also started the season with 2 half-centuries. After that, he struggled to score runs and also gone expensive with his bowling spells. But, against RPS on Saturday, Henriques found his form back and scored 55 off just 28 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. He is the best all rounder that SRH has in this season. Deepak Hooda played a little cameo at crucial time for SRH. Hooda scored 19 off 10 balls in that game.

Wicket Keeper Naman Ojha came up in the order and played a good knock against KXIP. He scored 34 off 20 balls in that game, he is expected to contribute well with bat once he gets a chance to face more balls in this game. Almost every bowler gone expensive against RPS other day. Purple cap holder Bhuvneshwar Kumar also bowled expensive in that game, he picked 1 for 39 in 4 overs. Mohammad Siraj who played a second game for SRH, ended with 0/42 in four overs. Siddharth Kaul who bowled nerved final over of the match twice in previous two matches, bowled at 15 runs per over against RPS. With those things, bowling changes are expected in SRH’s camp. Ashish Nehra and Barinder Sran has a bright chances to be back in the XI on Tuesday. Among all bowlers of SRH, leg spinner Rashid Khan was the only bowler who picked a wicket and bowled under 5 runs per over in that game. He is a key bowler for SRH, especially when RCB players looks to score runs quickly in the end part of the innings. He is a big game changer too.
