The two star studded teams, which faced 3 losses each in their first 4 matches respectively, meets to find a way to win the game and go upward in the points table. Home Royal Challengers Bangalore welcomed their regular Captain Virat Kohli in the last game but result not gone in their favor at home. Also, RPS lost an another game in a row on Friday. As both the teams looks for a win at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday night, we are going to witness one of the thrill game of the tournament. The match 17 between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Pune Supergiants is scheduled to start at 8 PM IST | 2:30 PM GMT on Sunday, April 16 2017.



Virat Kohli, the captain of the team came back to the XI, after missed first 3 matches due to shoulder injury and he responded well with half-century straightaway on Friday evening. But as the rest of the team misfired, RCB managed to score 142 runs only. That consider as one of the low score at that famous high scoring stadium in Bangalore. Chris Gayle was brought back to the XI on the expenses of Shane Watson on Friday. Samuel Badree played his debut game for RCB in that match. Also, Sreenath Aravind replaced Iqbal Abdulla. Four changes were made in RCB XI on Friday. Samuel Badree responded well on his debut and made a record by picking hat-trick of wickets.

Chris Gayle who struggled to play aggressive innings in the first 2 matches, dropped in the third. He back to XI on Friday and opened the innings with Kohli. Once again Gayle struggled to play aggressive knock, managed to score 22 runs off 27 balls at strike rate of 81. RCB desperately needs him to shine in upcoming matches and their fans are expecting a lot more from him on Sunday. Virat Kohli played a very good knock, scored 68 off 47 balls on his return. AB de Villiers who struck all over the park against KXIP and stunned everyone with raining sixes, managed to score only 19 off 21 balls vs MI. Just like Gayle, RCB wants their star batsman ABD to perform so well vs RPS. Kedar Jadhav was back to wicket-keeper’s duty on Friday. He was on fire in the first 2 matches, but lost his wicket for single digit score in last 2 matches. He should score runs quickly just like how he scored against SRH and DD last week. Mandeep Singh played an handy knocks in 2 innings. He bowled out for golden duck at crucial situation against Mumbai Indians. He should step up and score useful runs in the middle order.

All Rounder Stuart Binny managed to play good supportive roles against both DD and KXIP. On Friday, he remained not out once again and scored 6 runs at the end. With a bowl also he done his part well, he was the reason for the early collapses of MI. Pawan Negi’s place is in danger after he gave away 28 runs in 2 overs and also managed to score 13 off 13 in end overs. Samuel Badree had a dream outing against MI. He picked 4 for 9 runs in 4 awesome overs. He was the best bowler of the day for RCB. His 4 wickets haul includes an hat-trick on a debut. The wicket taking bowler Yuzvendra Chahal gone expensive and managed to pick only a wicket on that day. Tymal Mills also bowled an expensive spell in that game which led the opposition to win the match in the end. Sreenath Aravind’s four overs were valuable in that game, he gave away only 21 runs in 4 overs. Not much of changes are expected in RCB’s lineups on Sunday. Expects an another chance for the players to perform. Billy Stanlake has some chances to replace Tymal Mills in this game.



Three losses in a row and all came within 7 days time hurts Rising Pune Supergiants and it’s fans. With 3 losses in 4 matches, Supergiants are moved down to bottom of the table. Now they have only 2 points at NRR of -1.537. Skipper Steve Smith, who missed their third match due to some stomach issue was back in the XI against Gujarat Lions. The important batsman at top of the order, Rahane failed and got out for 0 in the very first over. After scored 60 in the first game, Rahane failed in 3 matches and yet to score more than 20 runs after that good knock. As RPS dropped Faf du Plessis and Mayank Agarwal, new comer Rahul Tripathi opened the innings for RPS. He batted so well at top of the order, scored 33 of just 17 balls and also put up quick fire 64 runs stand along with his captain Smith. He is expected to keep his place in the team for most of the remaining matches in this season. Steve Smith played a good hand for his team. He was good touch, unfortunately missed out for 43 off 28 balls.

Billion dollar pick Ben Stokes started well, but he did not convert into big scores. He scored 25 off 18 balls, with bowl also he done somehow well. He bowled at 6 RPO in his 3 overs spell. RPS wants him to give much better performance in the next match against RCB. Manoj Tiwary was back in the playing XI after attending the funeral of his father. He played a useful knock of 31 runs in that game. He was in good form during One-Day and T20 domestic season recently. He could play a key role for RPS in the middle-order. The most experienced man in the unit, MS Dhoni failed to get attention one more time as he dismissed for just 5 runs once again. He disappointed the fans and his team with that performance on other day. He should step up and play a brisk innings in upcoming matches for RPS. Left arm spin bowler Ankit Sharma played a little cameo in the late in the innings. He managed to score 25 runs in quick time. But, with a bowl he bowled only one over for RPS in that game and gave away 16 runs. Lockie Ferguson, the New Zealander played his first match in IPL and he gone expensive straightaway. He bowled at 11 RPO in his 4 overs spell and remained wicket less too.

Shardul Thakur got his first opportunity to play for RPS on Friday and impressed with 1 for 14 in 3 overs. The wicket taking bowler of the team Imran Tahir picked a wicket, but gone too expensive for the first time in this season. He gave 51 runs and picked only one wicket in his 4 overs. It was a tough match for him, he could come back with much better spell on Sunday. Rahul Chahar who replaced Deepak Chahar in their 2nd match, replaced a same player once again in their 4th match on Friday. RPS rotating both Chahars and giving a chance to each of them based on the situation. Rahul bowled bit expensive but picked a wicket for his credit. It is tough to predict the XI of RPS. Lockie Ferguson would misses out after his debut on other day. If they decides to go with Faf du Plessis, some chances to give rest to Rahane. Rahul Chahar could be an other choice to make a way for Faf. All Rounder Rajat Bhatia who was dropped in the last game, might be back in the squad on the expenses of Ankit Sharma.
