After sealing ODI series as 3-0 successfully, the home team New Zealand is looking for another clean sweep against Bangladesh, this time with three match T20I series. New Zealand has already won first two matches of the series comfortably. As still looking for first win in the tour, Bangladesh looks forward to give some more fight on their last chance of limited over cricket on the tour. The last and final match of the T20I series is scheduled to start at 3 PM Local | 7:30 AM IST on Sunday, 8th January, 2017.

As wicket-keeper batsman Luke Ronchi has been ruled out due to injury during 2nd T20 on Friday, New Zealand has added young wicket keeper batsman Tom Blundell to the squad. Tom Bruce is in the squad already who could manage gloves work. But, Tom Blundell is expected to make his first International appearance in this dead rubber. If Blundell gets an opportunity to play, then he would make his international debut just a day after winning the Super Smash – Grand Final with Wellington Firebirds. Captain Williamson stood tall in the first game with match winning knock which helped his side to chased down the target successfully. In the second match, hard-hitting Colin Munro played a scintillating knock and scored T20I Hundred which sealed a series for New Zealand. Tom Bruce supported Munro well and remained not out for 59 runs of 39 balls. Other batters were failed to score runs on the board on other day. To register a clean sweep once again on the tour, New Zealand needs their batters to bat well through the innings. Slow bowlers of Kiwis performed well at this slower pitch in the country, Mount Maunganui. Santner, Sodhi and skipper Kane Williamson, every one bowled economical spells and shared 6 wickets among them on Friday. Fast bowlers Trent Boult and Ben Wheeler also performed well. Bowlers should come with same kind of effort on Sunday to confirm the clean sweep in the series.

On other hand, visitors Bangladesh needs a win to regain their confidence on the tour. After losing all matches which they played in this tour till now, Mortaza and company looking forward to build some momentum for themselves and play in the middle with positives on Sunday. Opener Imrul Kayes got out for second duck in a row. He needs to play well on Sunday to retain his place in limited overs side. Another opener and experienced batsman of the side, Tamim Iqbal started well on Friday, but unfortunately, he lost his wicket for 13 runs. Bangladesh needs him to play big innings at top of the order to taste a first success in the tour. Sabbir batted well in 2nd T20 and top scored with 48 runs. Finally some good runs came from Soumya Sarkar’s bat on Friday, who scored 39 runs off 26 balls after very long time. Sarkar’s innings shown some positive signs which he needed desperately. Mosaddek and Mahmudullah are in good form in recent times and they needs to continue it on Sunday too. Part timers Mosaddek and Mahmudullah gone expensive on Friday at this spinners supported pitch. They needs to bowl well along with Shakib Al Hasan to provide a win to their team. Fast Bowlers captain Mortaza and Rubel Hossain bowled well on Friday and shared 4 wickets among them. Complete team performances are required here for Bangladesh to overjoy with first win on the tour.

Trent Boult might rested on Sunday ahead of Test Squad. If Boult plays, Matt Henry will not play. Ben Wheeler bowled well in both matches. He deserves a one more chance. That means Lockie Ferguson may misses out once again or else he would come in place of Trent Boult. Tom Blundell is expected to play his debut match on Sunday. George Worker also expected to play a game after an year period for the Blackcaps.

Bangladesh is expected to go with full strength as they are wants to avoid clean sweep series loss. Taijul Islam and Shuvagata Hom might come into playing XI, if Bangladesh looks to go with more slow bowlers or resting Mustafizur.
