Bangladesh’s tour of New Zealand continuous with 2nd T20 International which held at Mount Maunganui on Friday, 6th January, 2017. The home team lead three match series 1-0 at the moment. This seat edge thriller between New Zealand vs Bangladesh is schedule to start at 3 PM Local | 7:30 AM IST on Friday.

New Zealand added George Worker to the squad at last moment and he will replaces Neil Broom who was ruled out through fractured finger which he sustained during the 1st T20I. George Worker, All rounder will open the innings along with Captain Kane Williamson on Friday, according New Zealand Cricket. Skipper Williamson led from the front on Tuesday while chasing 142 runs. One more match winning knock is expected from the skipper to seal the series 2-0. Stunning T20 batsman of New Zealand in 2015-16 season, Colin Munro thrown his wicket for zero on other day. As he deserves his chances, hope for one firepower innings from him in this game. Corey Anderson back in to the national team on Tuesday. It was his first International appearance since ODI series against India back in October. Good knocks are needed from Anderson, Bruce, Grandhomme and also from wicket keeper Ronchi to put up a challenging total on the board or to chase down any kind of target to secure a series.

Among bowlers, Ben Wheeler bowled a nice spell and picked 2/22 in 4 overs. Ferguson came with splendid 4 overs and took 3/32. Both all rounders Colin de Grandhomme and Santner bowled economical spells and picked a wicket each. Matt Henry was the one who gone expensive in that 1st T20I. Matt Henry played for Canterbury Kings in Super Smash Preliminary Final on Thursday which almost confirm us that he won’t be part of NZ squad for Friday encounter. Therefore, Trent Boult has bright chances to come out from rest and play this match for his team.

Bangladesh is still looking for a first win in the tour and this Bay Oval’s slow pitch might help the visitors to taste their first success in the tour. Bangladesh had very good opportunity to score big runs in Napier. But, wickets at regular interval caused Bangladesh and they posted only 141 runs in that batting wicket. That performance would disturb the batters of Bangladesh. But, it’s a time for them to come back well and focus on good score to keep a series alive. Most experienced top order batsman in the side, Tamim Iqbal got out for 14 runs in first game. His team expects a big innings from him also expects a good start along with Imrul Kayes.

Soumya Sarkar wasted one more opportunity which came in his way. He might lose his place to Shuvagata Hom who could bat too. Come back innings of Mahmudullah helped the side to post a decent target. Same kind of performance he needs to offer one more time along with star all rounder Shakib. Mosaddek’s batting lower down in the order was very useful, hopefully he continues his good form on Friday too. If Mustafizur rested, Taskin may come into action. But chances are less for that to happen as Mustafizur was the lonely bowler who bowled under 6RPO on Tuesday. Captain Mortaza and Rubel Hossain should bowl well on Friday to control the opposition. All rounders Shakib, Mahmudullah and Mosaddek should come with economical spells as the pitch supports slow bowlers well than pacers.
