Bangladesh tour of New Zealand starts on Monday, 26th December. Bangladesh on their first overseas tour in 2 years time. Team Bangladesh proved their skills and developments against major full member teams in last 2 years. Now, Mashrafe and co. is in Kiwis tour and has lot of things to prove to the cricket world and to their fans. This exciting 50 overs One-Day International contest is scheduled to start at 11 am Local | 3:30 AM IST on Monday (Boxing Day).


New Zealand squad was announced earlier and has 13-members in it. After losing 3 match ODI series to the neighbor earlier this month, New Zealand re-starts their home summer season by hosting Bangladesh series. Colin de Grandhomme retained his place in team after proving his value in recent ODI series against Australia. Lockie Ferguson who made his ODI debut against Australia also got a place in 13-men squad. Kane Williamson is ready to lead the side once again and also gear to go at no.3. Neil Broom who played his last international match in 2013 has been re-called to national side and he would set to play at 4 in the order. Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Matt Henry are a quicks in the side along with all rounder Neesham. Mitchell Santner will do spinners duty and he is in prime form after showing his all round performances in recent Super Smash T20 tournament round robin match. Martin Guptill and Tom Latham will play opener’s role once again and Colin Munro and Luke Ronchi would take care of middle order batting.


After long impressive home season, Bangladesh finally got an opportunity to feed their players by playing in overseas conditions like in New Zealand. Mashrafe Mortaza was not impressive with his leadership skills in recent BPL tournament, but he came back well in late part of the tournament (when people thought no chances for them to come back) and created an opportunity for his team to qualify for Final Four. Now he is back to international duty as a captain and he has lot of things to prove after his successes at home for last 2 years. Along with him, Bangladesh has one of the best all rounder in the world Shakib Al Hasan as an Vice-Captain. Experienced Tamim Iqbal was in good form in recent matches and he is set to build a good stand at top of the order along with Imrul Kayes. Most wanted all rounder in recent edition of BPL, Mahmudullah also set to play at no.3 or 4. The young and sensational fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is back in the squad after losing most part of 2016 due to injuries. His come back boasts Bangladesh bowling line-up for sure.
