MATADOR – ELIMINATION FINAL – PREVIEW

Australian summer cricket season 2016-17, kick started with Matador BBQs One-day Cup on 1st October. The tournament hosted 21 leagues matches with 7 teams. At end of all leagues matches, Queensland topped the points table with 5 wins and 21 points. With that scintillating performances, Queensland qualified for the tournament Final. Teams who came at no. 2 and 3 in points table, New South Wales and Victoria competing in a elimination final on Friday. The team who wins this eliminator will face Queensland on Sunday in Matador Final.

Here, we give a Fantasy preview for the Elimination Final with Key Players and Must Picks suggestions along with the players salary points in various leading fantasy cricket sites.

 

KEY PLAYERS :

FROM NEW SOUTH WALES :

Nic Maddinson :

The left-handed batsman plays in the top-order. He used to bat at no. 3 in the ongoing tournament. The hard-hitting batsman Maddinson misfired in few innings and scored big runs in innings. He started the tournament with just 8 runs vs CAXI. He scored 10 runs in the 2nd encounter and scored 36 against South Australia. He scored only 13 runs in the 4th match vs Queensland, but he came so hard and hits century against Victoria. He scored 112 off 89 balls in that match and proved his worth in the team. He struggled a lot and did not get a chance to make his return to national side. He struggled in BBL seasons too. But, he started this summer season with very good note. Australian opener is return back from National duties and he played last 2 league matches here in Matador cup. He played 2 innings and scored two half-centuries with 52 and 79. Daniel Hughes :

The opening batsman of NSW Blues, is in amazing form. He played all league matches for NSW Blues. He started with 32 runs vs CAXI and scored 73 runs vs Tasmania in the 2nd match. He had average outings in next two matches with scored 13 and 27. He came back strongly against Victoria and scored 122 runs. He just continued his good form in the last league match against Western Australia with score of 96 runs. He is in super form and he may play one more big innings on tomorrow!

Cameron White :

The 33-year old, experienced Australian batsman scored lot of runs in league matches. He played 254 List-A matches and scored 7133 runs at 37.34. His highest score was 145 and it came in this tournament. He started the tournament with career best 145 runs vs CAXI. In the next two innings, he scored 24 and 29 respectively. He again back with ton against Tasmania by scoring unbeaten 117 runs. In the last  2 innings he scored 69 runs each against NSW and Queensland. If his hot-form continues on tomorrow, he will be a game changer for his team Victoria.

Glenn Maxwell :

The hard-hitting Australian All-rounder, played lot of innings with over 100 strike rate. He is well experienced and he always like to score quickly with lot of big hits. He scored 20+ runs in 5 innings so far but failed to convert into big innings. But, his 41 balls 67 runs vs NSW Blues proves his talents. He also picked 4 wickets. If things goes in his way, he will make opponents suffer.

Note : Victoria announced 14 member squad for this match. But, no update from NSW Blues yet. As Australian team members returned to Matador, Captain Smith and Warner may make their presence on tomorrow. If it happens then NSW Blues top order would be shuffled.

Pat Cummins rested in last league match against Western Australia on Wednesday. If suppose he is not playing, then another International quickie Josh Hazlewood will play again. Just keep him in mind while picking a team.
