After winning test series as 3-0 and lost ODI series as 1-4, the host Sri Lanka faced Australia in 1st T20I on Tuesday. ‘Maxi’ Maxwell storm affected them too much on that day and Aussies won it by 85 runs. Now, Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2016 comes to an end with this 2nd T20I which takes place on Friday at Colombo (RPS).
Key Players :
From Australia :
Mitchell Starc : The Aussie Speedster had amazing time in Sri Lanka with both test and ODI series. In recent West Indies Tri-series, he used to play one match then took one match rest. But, in this tour he used to play every fixtures. In Test series he grabbed total of 24 wickets and that includes 3 five wickets haul. He continued his form in ODI series too. He took 14 wickets in 5 ODI matches. He is back to all format of the game. In 1st T20I, he bowled with eco. of 6.5 and took 3 wickets. Surely, he is the big game changer and deserved the place in every Fantasy team!
Glenn Maxwell : The Big-Hitter got back to Australian team with this 2 match T20I series. He struggled to maintain his form for past few months. His performances were not up to his level in WT20, IPL. His bad form continued in West Indies tri-series, which caused him Sri Lanka tour and CA omitted him in ODI squad. Finally he got chance to play in these T20I’s and he came back to International Arena with bang and in his own style. He smashed 145 runs (14 fours and 9 Sixes) off 65 balls! This innings brought him to dangerous T20 Player list again. He may play one more jaw dropping Innings on Friday and finish this short tour of SL in style!
From Sri Lanka :
Dinesh Chandimal : The stand-in skipper at the moment for Sri Lanka, Dinesh Chandimal has amazing season. He proved his skills in all 3 formats recent times. In 2016, he had scored eight 50+ scores (2 of them converted to centuries) in just 13 ODI innings. He smashed 58 runs in the 1T20I on Tuesday. He can play well anywhere in Cricketing world, he do too well especially at home. Hoping some other good innings from him on Friday night.
Tillakaratne Dilshan : Dilshan recently announced his retirement from ODI and T20I. As he already had farewell from ODIs, this is going to be his last appearance in International Cricket. Every eyes would be on him and the Friday is his day at Colombo (RPS). Expecting some good knock from him for one last time and also expect he will retired from International Cricket with some memorable knock.
