Imad Wasim had a great spell once again. He once again dismantled West Indies top-order. He bowled four overs and picked 3 wickets for 21 runs. Other Pakistan bowlers also accompanied him very well economical bowling. At one point West Indies were struggling for 31 for 4 in 9th over.
Marlon Samuels tried to rescue his team, but his strike rate was too low. When West Indies lost their 5th wicket, the score were 66-5 in 13th over. Kieron Pollard joined with Samuels. West Indies top-order were the major issue for the team. In all 3 matches, West Indies failed to fire in the power play overs and lost at least 3 wickets inside 6 overs in all 3 matches. The team’s main strength are the middle-order batting which surrounded with all power hitting All-rounders. As their top-order failed, middle order also struggled in every match they played in this T20 series. Pakistan are playing home season in UAE and they have played so many matches at these venues. Pakistan team adopt to the conditions quickly as they knew these venues better than all other teams. That was the main strength for them in this tour.
West Indies players were struggled to adopt to UAE conditions and in these UAE pitches scoring big hits and boundaries are not quite possible. Hope that West Indies ODI side will come back from this heart-breaking defeat and start the ODI series as Fresh!
The two teams are facing each other in 3-match ODI series which starts on this Friday, Sept. 30 2016. The match starts at 3 PM (local)/4.30 PM (IST)/11 AM GMT
