INDIA VS NEW ZEALAND – 2nd TEST – FANTASY PREVIEW

India played the special Test match at Kanpur, 500th Test match. Now, India facing New Zealand in one more special test match, this time at Kolkata. India playing 250th Test match at home on Friday.

The much awaited test series started last week at Kanpur and India leading the 3-match test series, 1-0. The two teams facing each other in the 2nd test match on Friday. Both the team has injury issues after the first match. New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham has been ruled out for 2nd Test match. He was not fit for 1st test match too. Mark Craig, the off-spinner ruled out for remaining matches of the test series due to side strain. New Zealand announced Jeetan Patel as replacement player for Mark Craig.

On the other side, India’s top-order batsman Lokesh Rahul had injured his right hamstring during the first test in Kanpur, while running between the wickets. Gautam Gambhir announced as replacement for Rahul. Gambhir joins the national squad after 2 years. Ishant Sharma missed first test due to ill and as he is not really fit for Kolkata test, Jayant Yadav joins the squad. Jayant Yadav’s form in domestic cricket brought him to national side and if he get chance in playing XI, he will make his international debut.

Kane Williamson :

The Captain of the team and no. 2 test batsman in the world at the moment, Kane Williamson is a key player for his team. As a top-order batsman Kane has huge role to play against Indian spin attack. He played well in the first test at Kanpur. He scored 75 runs in the 1st innings, while he batting the match was in favor of the visitor.
